A Happy Day for Sherry & Steve!

On Saturday, November 12, 2011
Sherry & Steve Welker were
married for 'Time & All Eternity'
in the Mesa, AZ Temple!
It was a happy day for my twin sister
Sherry, & Steve, and for all of us!

They had been waiting for this day for a
couple of years!

Watching them together, they are still like a
newlywed couple!

The beautiful couple!!

The shoes were quite the hit! Sherry's dress was so long that
she had to find a really tall pair of shoes!
Only Sherry could actually walk in these!

Her dress was beautiful and fit her perfectly,
only because she still has the figure of a
teenager!!
The family outside the temple, we missed those who
couldn't be there!

It was extra special that Steve's brother & wife could come
all the way from South Jordan, UT!

The bow! Everyone loved the bow, Sherry
was so pleased and happy about her dress!

Afterwards, they wanted to feed all of
us, so we went to their community
center and started cooking tacos!

Sherry had bought 25 pounds of hamburger and Mom about did herself in trying to get it all cooked, it was so hot in the kitchen! The kitchen was lacking
good, big frying pans, but we managed to get it all cooked.
Bret & Lisa and Angie (Curt's wife)
all helping.

Everyone had to wait awhile before we had it all cooked, but it
all was really good. Sherry made Aunt Vi's cucumber, cilantro, tomato salsa, I made a huge pan of enchiladas because Garrett specifically asked for them, Sonja made some great Spanish rice and Mom made 'Pink Salad', because Sherry absolutely loves it!
We could've been done in half the time if we would
have made half the food!!
It was a good, wonderful, happy day!

A LATE Halloween Post!

The night before we flew out to Dallas, we went to Bret & Becki's Ward Trunk or Treat party. We got to see 2 of our little grandkids dressed up in their Halloween costumes!
London was a little lalaloopsy doll, Becki made the
hair, the dress, everything!

Kingston was 'BumbleBee', he LOVES
BumbleBee!

Chad was 'Captain America'!
He worked all day at Safeway like this!

Blake was a 'Cowboy'
Yep, that's the same little cowboy stuff
 you boys used to wear!

Finding the Halloween Candy!
'Grams has some good stuff in here'!

Eating the Halloween candy!

'Look what I've got!'

'Mean Mom, taking my candy away!'

'Thanks Gramps!'

Grams added a few more whiskers!

Chad and his super hero friends! They went Trick-or-Treating and made a haul!!

Adding to Marks post about Dallas! We had a great time, Mark makes a great tour guide. He had our whole trip planned out for us, we just got to relax and enjoy it! We stayed at the Marriott in a beautiful room, we ate LOTS of great food, we saw lots of interesting places and Mark never got lost once with his handy GPS, we ate great chocolate, we got to watch BYU play football, (that part could have been better!) but the fireside the BYU team put on was really good, and mostly, we got to spend time with Mark, Holly and Bolden! That was the BEST part!
The first place of interest we stopped at was the John F. Kennedy Museum.

The Museum is in the actual building that he was shot from. If you count up 6 floors, the top right window is the one where Lee Harvey Oswald was hiding.

This is Elm Street, the white car being in about the position Kennedy's was, in front of the
'grassy knoll' (to the right).

There was a lot of conspiracy theories about his assignation,  one of them being that the shot came from someone on this grassy knoll.

Mark found the best places to eat!
This is a sample of our breakfast! We had already wiped out the samples of cinnamon rolls, pumpkin bread and other breads they brought to our table.

Mark took us on a 'walking tour' of about 3 miles through downtown Dallas. He had his handy little map and we found all the places of interest.

Dallas has lots of fountains!
The 'Pegasus' building!

Beautiful buildings!

Beautiful Baby Bolden!

Beautiful couple!

More cool water fountains !

This 5000 pound ball was floating in this water fountain and by pushing on it, we could change the direction is was turning.
The main reason we went to Dallas was to watch BYU play TCU in the
HUGE DALLAS STADIUM! It is amazing! It has a retractable roof! Also because we were meeting Mark & family there!
BYU Fans! We had to 'scalp' our tickets and somehow still ended up in the little tiny section
of other BYU fans.  Boy were we out numbered!

The HUGE screen!
Sad, but true!!

OUR LAST DAY!

We had fun touring the Dallas Ripleys Believe It or Not! We saw some things in there that really were hard to believe!

WOW, a dog made out of old toys, it was pretty cool, believe it!
They had a display of dinosaurs and if you can believe it, they were all made from car bumpers!!

This guy was for real!  He is President of the sword swallowers club! He just happened to be touring there in Dallas, and we got to see him, can you believe it??

This one's hard to believe, Mark acting silly!! Thanks for the great time!
