OCT 10th-15th CLEVELAND, OH With my girls!!

Tami, my very thoughtful child, came up with the idea that we, (her, Lisa & I) should fly back to Cleveland and help Kari get her house ready to sell. She found some really cheap flights, but then we ended up using my sweet Dad's airline points, so it hardly cost us anything to fly back there. We were there 5 days and really got a lot done! "Many hands make light work!"

On our way to the airport we stopped to see 'Nana & Pomp'.
They are always so sweet to everyone!

We parked at the airport and our flight left at 3:45pm.  We landed in Cleveland around 10:30pm.  Kari was waiting to pick us up!
The next morning we started painting! She had some friends come over earlier and tape off the whole basement, that helped a lot!
Kari is one brave momma to let her kids paint.

 Tami painting
 Kari painting
Lisa painting.  I sure raised good workers!
We had some 'tunes' playing and pretty soon the painting turned into dancing!

Rivers asked me if this is what Gpa looks like when he works.
I love the head flashlight!
My girls worked out every morning, then they would do something called "grounding".  I guess its very health beneficial to put your feet in the dirt (the earth) for awhile every day.

We painted, we scrubbed carpets, washed windows, vacuumed, and we had fun together. We worked all day Friday and Saturday and on Sunday we had 9am church and a 'day of rest'.
Monday we cleaned the kitchen, the bathrooms, and got everything put back in the basement.
Monday, Nov. 14th was also Kari and Kirk's 8th wedding anniversary!  Since Kirk was gone, she had made reservations at a really nice restaurant called 'Lola'  in downtown Cleveland. It is ran by a famous chef, Michael Symon and the food was wonderful.

I had a little misadventure before we left for the restaurant!  I was carrying a chair downstairs and somehow missed a step and went flying down the stairs with the chair, landing very hard on my chest and face! It knocked my air out and I couldn't even talk or move for a few minutes.  My girls all thought I was dead! I think I was really blessed to not have broken anything and still have my teeth in my mouth! I do have plenty of big bruises and I'm pretty sure my ribs are either bruised or cracked, since I can't sneeze or cough or move!
This is what I feel the worst about- after working on the walls, filling holes with spackling, then sanding to make them smooth,  I put this big hole in one of her walls when I fell!! Actually the chair did, but she has no paint this color, so she can't fix it!!

Me and my beautiful daughters!
Downtown Cleveland- on 4th St. I think.

Lisa had salmon, I had BBQ pork chops, Tami had scallops and Kari had a roasted Veggie plate.  It was all delicious!
And beautiful!

We ordered 2 desserts, this was the S'mores!  YUMMY

Tuesday we had to paint Elijah's room. Kari had tried painting over the crayon drawings with some paint that was supposed to be the exact same color,  but it wasn't, so we had to paint the whole room. She had all 26 letters of the alphabet on this wall that she had taped on and they would NOT come off! Every letter pulled the paint and drywall off so we had to spackle a lot and then sand everything.
Eli was so sad that his letters were gone, but we were able to rehang his 'E'!
Kari relaxing and talking to Kirk after a long, hard day of work!

Rivers said to me, "Gma, take a picture of me with my rock collection and send it to Gpa."  So I did.

Taking a last picture before we leave for the airport!
We are all missing these 3 little boys, but we are praying hard that their house sells FAST and that they will be in Flagstaff ASAP!

Gma steals Ivory away! OCT. 5th-9th

So after the Women's Conference was over, I went by to see my grandkids and decided since I had to go back to Mesa in about 4 days, that I would take Ivory home with me, since she's the only one not in school.
She is such a little cutie pie. She's like a little butterfly, flitting around from one thing to the next.
She was so entertaining to have around, such a happy little girl.
You can't come to Gma's house and not get an ice cream cone!
We had Ivory for about 5 days and she was an angel the whole time. We loved having her, but she was ready to go home and see her mommy & daddy and sisters and brother!

Time Out For Women! It was AWESOME!

My friend Lenna had two extra tickets to "Time Our For Women" and asked if Lisa & I wanted them!  I had never been before, but Lisa had. It was so awesome that I plan to never miss it again! Lenna went with her daughter-in-law, Britany and a granddaughter, Nicole. With over 4000 women there, it was fun running into people there from Eagar.  It was 2 days of heaven! Wonderful speakers that we laughed and cried with. Fantastic entertainers who sang and also shared their stories.
This sad little picture is the only one I got with my camera!
This was really cute of Lisa!
They had these big screens and some more in the back that made it so nice to see what was happening on the stage.
We stayed at the Marriott, ate some really good ice cream at Cold Stone and just had a wonderful time!

MORE OF OCTOBER... oops!

My Lisa brought Lillian and came to Eagar to spend some time with us!! She came on the Wed. the 19th and left Sunday the 23rd. While she was here, our sewer backed up and we had a mess!!  I was NOT HAPPY!! We knew the toilet in the basement wouldn't flush and if I would've seen that the tub was also FULL, I would've realized it was the sewer line!!

So, this is the only picture I took! None of Lisa!!
We got to see Lilly 'in action' and she is pretty adorable!! She's a little jabber box with plenty to say. I just wish I knew what it was she was talking about. I didn't get any pictures of Lisa, but plenty of the flood in our basement!!
I wanted to document the DATE this happened for future reference!  OCT. 19th, 2016!!
I had to spray bleach over everything!! Then get all the heaters and fans blowing to dry it out!!  Yuck!
The bathroom at least got back to normal after washing everything and then pouring bleach water all over the floor!! Yuck!
Drying the pad outside. Again- YUCK!!
This was the culprit! The one on the right, going on to the septic tank was fine. LaVerl could run the snake all the way. The one on the left that goes back to the house, his snake would only go so far! He pounded and pounded and finally broke though something and got the water draining out of the tub and toilet again. I thought for sure we would have to call someone? but my husband is pretty amazing!  He can fix about anything!
 My Halloween decorations
While Lisa was here the weather was beautiful!  Indian Summer!  We juiced apples, Lilly played outside, and Lisa and I watched one of her favorite TV series in the evenings. We had fun sending a few 'snap chats' too!
 Lilly loved watching the rabbits.
And playing with all the pretty leaves.

Lisa & I went to the museum in Springerville.

HALLOWEEN FUN... OCT 31st

This Halloween post is a few days late, I've been gathering pictures of all the grandkids. I love to see them all decked out and I love the creativity their parents have! FUN!

Tami came up with this cute idea! Ryne is a police officer, Tami is a donut and the boys are little robbers!! Blake told his mommy, " You can't just wear a sweatshirt for your costume!" So she had to dye her hair orange for the frosting on the donut!

Reed & Natali decked out Royal as a sheep!  Pretty clever- "a wolf in sheep's clothing"!

Kari & Kirk at their Halloween party!

Leo in the back- Luke Skywalker, Elijah- GI JOE, and Rivers-

Little Lillian was a Hula girl!  She won first place at their Halloween party for cutest costume in her age group!

Lisa and Barry were Hawaiian tourists!
Bret at their Halloween party- he makes a perfect 'nerd'. He found another 'nerd' to take a picture with.

Ivory was a 'polar bear'- Becki does an amazing job with
costumes and make-up!!
 Dempsey was a 'kitty-cat'! A feisty feline!
Kingston was a 'lumber jack'. After a long night of walking the neighborhood, he said, "I've been walking my axe off! (to quote Bret!)
London was a 'sugar fairy'.  (with sugar and spice and everything nice). After every house she would say, "I bless you all with sweet dreams!" as she waved her wand!

Going to the Ward Halloween party, Ivory was
"Tinkerbell"

Then for school they got dressed up again!!

Mark & Holly's bunch all dressed up too! Looks like 'Star Wars' was popular this year!
Wow!  All 6 of my grandkids looking so cute!
And here's the littlest 'trick or treater' of them all!!
Little Daxxon Beckstead Crosby!!

And that was Halloween 2016!
