Tami, my very thoughtful child, came up with the idea that we, (her, Lisa & I) should fly back to Cleveland and help Kari get her house ready to sell. She found some really cheap flights, but then we ended up using my sweet Dad's airline points, so it hardly cost us anything to fly back there. We were there 5 days and really got a lot done! "Many hands make light work!"
On our way to the airport we stopped to see 'Nana & Pomp'.
They are always so sweet to everyone!
We parked at the airport and our flight left at 3:45pm. We landed in Cleveland around 10:30pm. Kari was waiting to pick us up!
The next morning we started painting! She had some friends come over earlier and tape off the whole basement, that helped a lot!

Kari is one brave momma to let her kids paint.
Tami painting
Kari painting
Lisa painting. I sure raised good workers!
We had some 'tunes' playing and pretty soon the painting turned into dancing!
Rivers asked me if this is what Gpa looks like when he works.
I love the head flashlight!
My girls worked out every morning, then they would do something called "grounding". I guess its very health beneficial to put your feet in the dirt (the earth) for awhile every day.
We painted, we scrubbed carpets, washed windows, vacuumed, and we had fun together. We worked all day Friday and Saturday and on Sunday we had 9am church and a 'day of rest'.
Monday we cleaned the kitchen, the bathrooms, and got everything put back in the basement.
Monday, Nov. 14th was also Kari and Kirk's 8th wedding anniversary! Since Kirk was gone, she had made reservations at a really nice restaurant called 'Lola' in downtown Cleveland. It is ran by a famous chef, Michael Symon and the food was wonderful.
I had a little misadventure before we left for the restaurant! I was carrying a chair downstairs and somehow missed a step and went flying down the stairs with the chair, landing very hard on my chest and face! It knocked my air out and I couldn't even talk or move for a few minutes. My girls all thought I was dead! I think I was really blessed to not have broken anything and still have my teeth in my mouth! I do have plenty of big bruises and I'm pretty sure my ribs are either bruised or cracked, since I can't sneeze or cough or move!
This is what I feel the worst about- after working on the walls, filling holes with spackling, then sanding to make them smooth, I put this big hole in one of her walls when I fell!! Actually the chair did, but she has no paint this color, so she can't fix it!!
Me and my beautiful daughters!
Lisa had salmon, I had BBQ pork chops, Tami had scallops and Kari had a roasted Veggie plate. It was all delicious!
We ordered 2 desserts, this was the S'mores! YUMMY
Tuesday we had to paint Elijah's room. Kari had tried painting over the crayon drawings with some paint that was supposed to be the exact same color, but it wasn't, so we had to paint the whole room. She had all 26 letters of the alphabet on this wall that she had taped on and they would NOT come off! Every letter pulled the paint and drywall off so we had to spackle a lot and then sand everything.
Eli was so sad that his letters were gone, but we were able to rehang his 'E'!
Kari relaxing and talking to Kirk after a long, hard day of work!
Rivers said to me, "Gma, take a picture of me with my rock collection and send it to Gpa." So I did.
We are all missing these 3 little boys, but we are praying hard that their house sells FAST and that they will be in Flagstaff ASAP!
