Summertime! Projects and kids!

We've been getting lots done around our place and getting to spend some time with our kids and grandkids.
Also I had a really nice Mother's Day. I am LOVED!
Lisa and I on Mother's Day

I got home from my 2weeks at my folks on Saturday. Lisa's family arrived shortly after I got home. They spent over a week here, well Barry had to go back home on Sunday. Lisa helped me with some of my projects.  It was fun watching all the 'shenanigans' of her little ones. Landon is one busy boy!!
Landon playing with Gpa's glasses. I later found them broke in half! But he sure is cute!!

Lucy is doing so good with her potty-training! She talks a lot, I just can't understand much of what she says!
On Thursday, Kari and boys came. They were on their way home from being in El Paso, TX at Mark's house for over a week. They spent the night and left the next day.
Elijah holding a waterdog!
Baby Gabriel is so cute, but he wouldn't even let me hold him!
He does not know his Gma at all!😞
 Even Rivers held a waterdog!

THEN- Bret's family arrived late Friday night and stayed until Sunday. They haven't been home since November!
The cousins in a tent watching a movie!
Kingston checking out all my 'vintage' toys! He got online and looked up all my old Matchbox cars and all the Nerf guns I still have from when my kids were little! He got super excited finding out that some of them are rare and valuable (well if they were still in good condition, which mine aren't!)

 Bret checking out LaVerl's waterdogs!

Bret took Suzy on a RZR ride up to Milligan.
The grandkids are loving the little table Lisa and Reed got us for Christmas! That was one of my projects, putting it together!
Another One of my projects was painting my patio furniture black.
It was a light tannish/green and it looks so much better now.

Lisa also helped me sand and paint my old benches. I have three of them and I have to redo them about every 2-3 years! Ugg!!

Its always FUN having S'more's out in our little firepit area. The marshmellows were HUGE! That's one BIG S'more, Ivory!
 London
LaVerl strung some lights earlier when he started the fire and it was really bright out there!

Bret entertained us with some poetry!

OUR LATEST PROJECT!!
I've been wanting a tree house for a few years now. We have 2 perfect trees in a perfect location. We hired a guy to build it and its coming along pretty good! The first two platforms are up!
They are high- 11ft!
This is right side. It will have an 11 ft. twirly slide and a spiral staircase to reach the top. Also an enclosed area, like a playhouse.
This is the main part with two decks. When finished it will have a cargo net type rope and a rock wall to climb up to the first level. The second level will have a rope bridge over to the other deck and a zip line that will be over 200 ft long, going over the irrigation ditch and through the orchard. Also several types of swings!

The rope bridge will connect both sides!
LOOKS LIKE FUN, RIGHT?
Hopefully the slide and spiral stair will be here so it will be done by the 4th of July when the kids come home!!

My last project was getting all my flowers planted before I leave for Mesa again on Saturday.

I had a hard time finding Marigolds! I only found the tall kind.

Getting out-- tired of quarantine!

Living in Eagar we really haven't noticed too much of the self-distancing or self-isolation going on during this whole Covid-19/corona virus pandemic.  A few people wear masks to the store and we all keep ourselves about 3-5 feet apart, so we are trying to be safe. Yes, our restaurants are drive through only and some aren't even opened, so we miss that. As of today there are 2 people that have tested positive.  LaVerl is still working like he always does and finds that FISHING is a great way to self-isolate!!
This picture was taken at Big Lake back in April.  The roads were barely passable getting in. His fishing buddy Ron checked them out on Google Earth! The Cutthroat Trout they caught were HUGE!
A week later they caught some more big ones!

We've been eating lots of good tasting fish!

LaVerl has been using his little solar cooker a lot lately too. He's been cooking lots of potatoes, then freeze-drying them. Yummy!

Update on DAD & MOM

I thought I'd post some pictures of my Dad's progress of his really horrible injury of his arm.

Everyday for 2 weeks I would redress and changed the bandage.
Here you can see how the bruise has gone all the way past his elbow!

This is how it looked after 2 weeks and I took all the butterfly bandages off-- still pretty yukky, but not gapping open!

Now it looks like this!  Pretty amazing! Right?

We've had some other excitement around here too!
On Friday morning, Mom realized that one of her hearing aids was not in her ear!  We searched high and low, in everything, under beds, in beds, in couches, the dirty clothes, the garbage disposal, outside, really everywhere that we could think it might be!

Finally Mom finds it!!
It wasn't high or low, it was half-way!!!
This is the drawer pull in front of the kitchen sink!!
