March always means SPRING BREAK!

Spring Break is when we get to spend time with our grandkids! The only ones that came this time were Bret's kids. He and Suzy went to Puerto Vallarta for their #2 anniversary. Tami's kids don't really count because they are living in Eagar and I get to see them all the time. I thought Lisa was coming with her 3, but it didn't work out for her.

The boys loved playing games on the 'switch' thing. Basically, video games.
London played too.
Dempsey and all the kids love my tread mill. If only I loved it as much!
Ivory and Adlee played so cute together all week.
Tami took the kids to Dollar Tree and Colter insisted that he would buy everyone something with his own money. That's pretty sweet!

Blake brought over a 500 piece puzzle and all the kids had fun putting that together.

Dempsey and Adlee playing together.
Aunt Tami gave Kingston a really nice haircut.

We got a tiny bit of snow, but the kids played in it and made 3 tiny snowmen.

On Tues. we headed to Roosevelt. We had new tile for our bathroom we needed to install. Wed. I took the kids to the cliff dwellings near by.

It's a short hike, only about a mile up with lots of resting places. They have a cute 'junior ranger' book to fill out which made it fun for the kids.
The kids ran up ahead so I could get a picture, but its hard to see them, the sun was shining right at me.
There was a nice ranger lady there that told us the history of the dwellings.

They estimate about 60 people lived here in about 20 rooms.
Back down the kids got 'sworn in' as Junior Rangers and got a cute little badge.

While we were playing, LaVerl was working. He had to take all the old plastic paneling off around the tub. Take off all the sheet rock! Then he put hardy backer up.
Then he had to tape and glue the spots where he put screws in.
Sheetrock is so messy. It made the whole house dusty.
Randell loaned us his nice tile cutting saw.

Randel came to help us, but we had it about done. He helped finish up with the grout. then he and LaVerl went fising on Friday.
The finished bathtub tile!!  We like it a lot!

Our good friends, Glen and Rachel Finch came over and we went to the Friday night fish fry at "Ma's" then they took us riding in their RZR on Saturday.

We have been setting traps and we got a huge RAT!! We think there is more because Randell heard lots of scratching while he was trying to sleep!!   Ugg!!  Not good!!

March events......

The first weekend in March we went to El Paso, TX to visit with Mark's family. We first went to Roosevelt. LaVerl put in new outside benches, trimmed a bunch of over growth on the trees, and re-varnished the back fence and I went on to Mesa to spend a day with my Mom and Dad. On Friday morning we left from Roosevelt to El Paso, which our GPS said was just a 5 hour drive. (Same as when driving from Eagar!) We had hard wind the whole way there! We got to see Milea play soccer, eat some great food Mark cooked and stay later on Sunday to be with Milea when she received her patriarchal blessing. The main  reason we went was Mark needed his Dad's help to install a heater in his big gym area. They sure have a great place.

This is the koi pond area.

The jacuzzi and pool looking out toward his gym.

He had to completely enclose his chicken coup, but they have a great place to roam. He has 25+ chickens that have a automatic door to their coup that he closes at night, an automatic feeder and waterer!
The kids have an amazing play area that at one time had 16 chipmunks in an area Mark built for them right in under the rock climbing wall.
A cool trampoline.
Mark recently built a horse shoe pit too.
Saturday morning when we were there Mark had a bunch of guys from his Elders Quorum come over and play a game of soccer on his nice field.
His basketball court.
His new fire pit. (sorry, blurry picture!)
LaVerl trying to get the wire up the wall to the new heater.
Mark up on top trying to find the wire.

Inside his gym area. He can fit his new boat and his camp trailer. Wembley and Daxxon playing on their boat.

Milea with her Stake Patriarch.

Back at home I took Adlee to 'story time' at the public library. They made St. Patrick's Day crafts.

March 11th, we also celebrated LaVerl's 72nd birthday.
We didn't do anything special, he got a nice breakfast and a treat from DQ. He did take off work a little early.
Adlee helping me juice Mexican limes from J'net and Bryan!
