ST. GEORGE, UT- spending a week with some grandkids!

Tami had a work conference/trade show in Chicago, IL that her work-Arbinger Institute sent her for. She wanted Ryne to come after she was done to spend a few days sight seeing, so I came to watch their 3 kids. I drove up to St. George with Ryne and boys who had come to Eagar/Black River to camp and fish. LaVerl was glad I didn't have to drove the 7.5 hours by myself.

We stopped at Marble Canyon for a little break.

On Wednesday it was Adlee Belle's graduation from Kindergarten. She was the cutest one there!! In Gma's opinion!!

When the boys were at school, Adlee and I played mini-golf at the club house at Sports Village where they are living right now. She got a hole-in-one!

Because school was almost done, the boys got out after half-day school, so we went to the Dinosaur Museum.

In 2000, a local optometrist Dr. Sheldon Johnson was leveling a hill on his property in St. George when he found a thick level of sandstone as he removed layers of sedimentary rock. As he removed large blocks of rocks, Dr. Johnson discovered a fully preserved, three-dimensional dinosaur track that was visible in both the brittle clay below and also on the bottom of the sandstone block. The track was just one of the thousands made by dinosaurs and other animals almost 200 million years ago on the shores of an ancient lake near St. George and within the broader Colorado Plateau and surrounding areas that are world-renowned for the high concentration of Triassic-Jurassic fossil resources.

Experts converged on the site to verify and reveal an extensive “trackway” found on the farm. Realizing that these dinosaur tracks would be best served if they were maintained for scientific and educational purposes, Dr. Johnson and his wife LaVerna donated the found tracks and arranged for the land to be cared for by the City of St. George. This is now a Dinosaur Museum.

It was very interesting, but lots of reading for little kids!

There was a big sand box where they had to dig to uncover the dinosaur tracks.

Tami and Ryne got home at 6am in the morning Friday after a late night flying home and a 2 hour delay at the airport. We will head back to Arizona tomorrow morning. It was great spending time with my grandkids while Tami & Ryne were in Chicago!

TUCSON FUN with Crosby Siblings

We like to get together with LaVerl's family and going to Tucson is always fun and easy. Rick and Paula drove from Mesa with J'net and Bryan. We drove from Eagar and Dave & Mary drove up from being at their place in Mexico. We all arrived on Friday May 19th around 1pm. We met at Rusty's BBQ, which was located near our Airbnb and had a great lunch. We then checked in to our cute little place and crashed.

About 5pm we headed out for the show at the Gaslight Theater.

We saw 'Robin Hood', which was really cute and funny.

Saturday morning we all went to the 11:00am temple session.

Afterwards we just stayed home and played games and ate all the food we all brought. LaVerl won hearts AGAIN! He was so happy!

After eating all day, we were hungry so we found an Arby's close by.

FUN TRIP!
Good company, good food, good entertainment!

Ryne graduates from medical school!!

On May 13, 2023 our son-in-law, married to Tami, graduated from medical school from College of Osteopathic Medicine in St. George, UT! He will do his 3 year residency in Internal Medicine at Idaho Falls, ID. We are so proud of him!!

His parents, Shawn and Jocelyn Peters

He had such great support from his family! They ALL came!
His oldest sister, Britney and her family.
His younger brother, TJ and his family.
His sister Taylor and family.
His youngest brother, Dallin.
His two sisters, Taylor and Brittney.
His two Aunts- Tonya and Tara
....and their girls.
Ryne was so happy that his sweet Grandma, Kathy, made the trip! She got all choked up, she was so proud of him!
Chad also made the trip with us.

We arrived Friday afternoon and found out that our Airbnb was in the same building, just around the corner from where Tami and Ryne were living, which was so perfect. Everyone else also stayed in 'Sports Village' so we were all right there together, which made it handy for Ryne to cook us all 'smash burgers' Friday night and breakfast on Sunday, Mother's Day.

To celebrate after Ryne's graduation, we all went to the "Painted Pony" for steaks, and they were fancy and expensive, but delicious!!

Chad got the chicken and even the flower was edible and he ate it!!

We all shared the desserts and they were fantastic too!!

It was a wonderful, quick trip and super happy for Ryne and Tami's family to be on the next chapter of their life for the next 3 years!
