Now June....so far!

We decided we are tired of our upstairs bedroom being too hot in the summer and cold in the winter, so we got a little mini-split put in!!

These wires are now covered, but I didn't get a picture.
They had to run power from the electrical panel around the house.

We are super excited and happy about our purchase! Our friend, Travis Christensen did a great job and got it done in 1 day!!

On June 6th, we flew to Idaho Falls to take Adlee home. We only spent 3 days there, but they were great. Tami took us to some beautiful waterfalls, we got to see Blake play two games of basketball in Pocatello, ID and spend time with their little family. I loved watching Blake and Colter play games in their beautiful backyard. It's green in Idaho!! I didn't get any pictures of Ryne. He is in his 2nd year of residency, doing internal medicine, so he wasn't home much.

They sure have fun on their trampoline.

After our adventure we went to Big Juds to eat! They have plate size burgers-- we all shared one!! And fried pickles!

Their oldest son, Blake turned 15 and is now driving. Idaho has very demanding driver rules to get your license. He had to go to driver school for 4 hours each for 8 days, total 32 hours. Then he had to drive with an instructor for 6 hours and then Blake had to watch and critic another driver for 6 hours. Needless to say, he is a really good driver!

The rest of May...

May was busy, but not a lot to post about. We moved my Mom from her home of 42 years to live with my sister Sonja in St. Johns, AZ. It was sad for her to leave her home, but it was for the best. She is now in the best of care with Sonja and Randy. We moved everything out of her home in just a couple of days, with lots of help! Curt is now retired and out of California. This is the last picture of Mom sitting on her couch in her favorite spot, along with Sherry and Curt. Almost all of Mom's things went to Deseret Industries or in a yard sale-for FREE or to the dump. She took it all in stride, but she said she prayed about it and felt it was time and the right thing to do. I'm happy that she is now only 30 minutes away from me.

Mom loved this old couch and all her things, but they were so outdated that not even the consignment stores wanted them.

Now all her things are just memories. Sonja and Randy have her set up so nice at their house. She has a new chair that lifts her up and out, with cup holders, and charging ports for her reader, etc. They have hardwood floors that are perfect with her walker, they got her a TV on a table that rolls and they put it right in front of her chair so she can see it. She has taken several falls since she's been there and in the ER 3 times last week, so her 99 years are catching up with her. We are so glad she is here with us.
My brother Curt went over later and cleaned out Dad's tool shed and then Boyd, Sonja's son, moved Dad's conX shed and the shed Garrett built on the side of the house!  These were major things that had to be done and I don't know how they did it!!
This is where the shed was---now gone!

Tool shed--cleaned out!!

Also in May we had some sewer problems at our Airbnb. I got a text early one morning telling me that sewer was coming up in the shower! That is never good news. My poor, sick husband had to crawl under that house and try to unclog the blockage. If we would've checked the septic tank first, it would've saved him a big mess under the house because the blockage was right at the septic tank.
Pulling off the toilet and then putting a snake down didn't solve the problem. There are some things you can't even pay anyone to do!!

We've never had the septic tank pumped, so I guess it was time.

I went to St. Johns for Mother's Day and spent it with my 99 year old mother!
In May I got the urge to clean out my attic. I had 40 years of stuff stored up there. It wasn't easy getting it all out. To get to my upstairs attic, I have to move LaVerl's clothes in his closet, then fit thru a little door, the width of an apple box and about 4 feet high. Then I have to climb over some heater tubing/duct work stuff and over some wood rafter bracing. Needless to say, it was hard work. It took me days to get it all down. I put it all in my garage and it was almost full. One day, my watch told me I climbed 46 flights of stairs!!
A lot of the girl's jeans are now back in style- holes, wide legged and bell bottoms. I had boxes of LaVerl' old worn out work jeans that I was saving to make jean quilts. I sold all my clothes for $1 each and I had one section of my lawn that was all FREE. I just wanted it all gone!

The weekend I was going to have it, the Greer fire started and parts of Eagar were being evacuated, plus it was very windy and smokey. So I had to wait a week, but, I got it done! What I didn't sell, someone came up and hauled it all off. I did put a lot in dump too.

The wind blew HARD in May. It broke a big branch off our huge apricot tree in our orchard and it fell on LaVerl's nice fence and bent it all up! We were sad! Our friend Randell came over and cut it all up and fixed the fence.

In May, our little Adlee, Tami's daughter came to stay with us and with her cousins for a couple of weeks. She's like the energizer bunny, non stop energy. She can do amazing things!
I didn't get hardly any pictures of her!!
Her and her cousin, Bria played in the treehouse and in the big ditch with inner tubes, and dress up. Non stop fun.

LaVerl has been working in his garden. I got him to downsize to just one. We put together this little grow box for his tomatoes.

Also in May, we had to help Kari out with her rental, as her renters were moving out and it needed to be cleaned and a few things fixed. There was a leak behind the fridge, so Kirk came and pulled the tile up and it had to dry for a few weeks. She had all new appliances coming, so LaVerl and I had to clean the tiles and then lay all the snap in tile  back down and a few other things. They have a 3 hour drive, so we were glad to help.

That about sums up May!! We were super busy!!
