COLLEGE!!!!!!!

Well, I am officially a college student now after Monday. Classes started Monday morning at 9:00 for me. I go checked into my dorm room on Thursday and have met many awesome people since then. my ward is good. It is totally different than going to church back home but its good. Well I thought that I would put my address on here so that everyone can send lots of goodies and stuff to the poor college kid named Reed. Everything is good and I love all of you and I am having a blast here.

Well, well, well.......... Just so ya'll know, my favorite ex-fiance (only- DERICK) had an appointment yesterday at my office and I ended up assiting with him.(the other girls were supposed to cover) OH BOY. It was hard. feelings are such funny fickle little suckers. I don't get it. I got to thinking about all the good times and all the stuff I love Derick for. I'm mean I know its not right but MAN!! He was nice. I was nice. I still hurt inside. i'm not all healed yet.

and another WELL, well, well........ Peter had a little talk with me last night and...............drum roll please...... Mr. Gills or should I say ELDER Gills has decided to go on a mission. HOT DOG! Its funny cuz I had given up on encouraging him to go and he seemed pretty darm sure he just couldn't go and "leave me behind". I had given him the book "how do you know when your really in love" to read; he loves to read and has gotten through a lot of it and I guess while reading he got the strongest impression that he was not ready for marriage and that he needed to go on a mission. so I'm very happy that he had decided that.

Tomorrow I'm going to Flagstaff with Kristin my old roommate. OH which, by the way, I'm really looking to move out. I just am not comfortable with my roommate situation. nope. I'll most likely move out with kristen. so thursday we're going to Flag to a f-ball game. should be fun to get out of the heat.

Book of Mormon Challenge

Hey fam! I was just curious to know if anyone else is doing the Book of Mormon challenge issued by the first presidency? The challenge is to finish the entire Book of Mormon from cover to cover before the end of the year (or Joseph Smith (and Mom's) b-days). I started August 1st and it has been way awesome! I am already in Alma and I am just loving it! There are so many things I can't believe I never saw before. I feel like I am really discovering the Book of Mormon for the first time. If we do this we are promised some awesome things (look in the Aug. Ensign). I totally reccommend everyone doing it. If you haven't started yet, it's not too late- you still have 3 months! It has made a big difference in my everyday life already and so I hope you all are doing it as well! Everyone post on here and we can keep each other motivated and check up on each other- it'll be great!!!

Crosby Mansion

Well, here's our new place, about 3 miles from campus. Our closest neighbor is 1/2 mile away, so Kaemon can be as loud and roudy as he wants. It's a 3 bedroom with a big kitchen and a full basement so we can store everything. We really like it. The pics are of Kaemon's room, my office, view from the front and view from the back.

I FINALLY figured it out!!!

Hidey Ho there family of mine!! This is so fun!! I love seeing everyone's comments and pictures!! Neat o!! I'm gonna post some pictures here soon. HUMM whats new...?? Work is great! I'm finally in the back doing Dental Assiting again. YEAH!! my ankle gets a lot more sore by the end of the day I want to cry seriously!!. I'm still a gimp. I go to PT in Scottsdale every Friday. And am really trying hard to do all my at home exerciese. I'm getting stronger but still can't believe what a long process this is. I'm enduring patiently. I can't wait for the day when I don't hurt any more and wake up not reminded that I can't walk right. I'm dating Peter Gills and a boy named Josh Laythumb from Texas. He's been back from his mission 5-6 m. I'm a tad older than him. So thats the dating game right now. Peter wants to get all serious and I'm just not ready right now. Ahhh! I gave a talk in church last sunday on our royal heritage. I guess it went good. i got a lot of positive feedback. I'm just glad it over. I got a new calling== surpize surprize------- activities commitee! I like my ward and my bishop.Bishop Stevens he so friendly and fun loving. life is awesome! Lately i've gotten some weird bug whispering in my ear and its telling me to move to Utah!! what i don't know whats go'n on. but the thought keeps crossing my mind. hummm?????? I know that everyone is really curious to see Chad's girlfriend, Lisa Peterson. Well, here she is! She is from Costa Rico, she's from a great family and she seems very sweet from the little we got to see her. The decision that both sets of parents made, was that they need to date a while longer, and then see. I think really that its just giving us (the parents) time to adjust. She was not happy about the decision, she said that she prayed about it and her answer was that she should marry Chad. She said they don't need time to 'get to know each other', they already know each other. She knows his favorite color and his favorite candy!! Afterall, what else is really important!! It was really sweet and cute!They have their rings all picked out, so I guess we are really slowing things down. We see obstacles they don't and probably never will!

Back To School At ASU!

Hooray for school! Hmm, well not really. Ya, school starts today. My classes on Monday and Wed's don't start until 1:40 so I went and lifted weights with my buddy Chris Wilson. my goal is 10 pounds by Christmas. but I'll be happy with gaining 5. I'm finally figuring out this website. I think it's a pretty sweet idea. I don't know how to put pics on here yet. my new girlfriend has a digital camera so I'll have to get her to help me out. Ya, Becki Wright is her name. most of you already have met her. I think it was Friday that I decided that I just wanted to date her and see how serious we can be. I'm still an associate at Bank of America. they love me there of course, next Friday they are taking me with a personal banker to a business to use my Spanish skills to help open accounts. I'm pretty sure that they'll promote me to owner any day now. I'll just be working 20 hours during school. Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, all day Friday and most Saturdays. I'm way excited for ASU football to start. gonna go get my season tickets today- well, that's about it. I love you all- our family rocks! love, Bret

Vacationing in Washington!!

Well I am here in Washington state right now visiting my best friend Lexie. I flew out here yesterday just in time for her brother Nick's reception. It worked out perfect because her parents were on the same flight as me from SLC, so I was able to bum a ride with them the 2.5 hours to Lexie's house. Lex lives in a town called Wenatchee, which is right in the middle of the state. It's not exaclty the pretty, green Washington you think of, but is instead hot and more deserty looking. Her house is right on the edge of a big river and the view is great. We plan on going to their cabin at a lake the next few days and just having fun relaxing and what not. School starts on mon the 29th, so I am going to live up this break! I am excited to start but not at the same time. I will be taking 15 credits and working 13+ hours a week, so I will be busy busy! I'm taking a few classes that I'm looking forward too, but also a few that I'm not particularly excited about. I am excited to get all moved and meet new people and stuff though. My new home is called Victoria's Place. It is a little condo and is going to be fun I think. I was sick to my stomach the first few times I saw it because it was such a mess, but now the girls have moved out and it got a new paint job so I think it will all be good. Anyways, that's what's going on in my life right now! Hope everyone is doing super! I love you all and I really miss you too!

So here is where I spend my days with my buddy Cordell. It's on the third floor, room #4. We've got nice big study areas and a leafy view. Here we hammer out learning issues, go through flash cards and read all of our fun books, all in the name of passing some test in June.

School tomorrow!

Hey family! Well I just wanted to let ya'll know what is happening in my life. School starts tomorrow, we are starting the early morning show choir at 7:00 then I am taking alg.2, chem.2, guitar, student leadership, and seminary. Im kinda ready to go back beacsue im getting kinda sick of working so much between the pool and DQ. Im still going to be working at the pool untill the end of August, and DQ throught school to pay for gas and stuff. As of now Im not playing soccer this year because I am on the dance team and junior class president so I dont know if I would have time, but there arent very many girls playing so I might end up playing. Well that is about all that is going on in general. I love you all and hope that everything is going good! Have a great week!

We've got new trees and bushes, new walkways and stepping stones, new lights and tonights lastest addition was a new grill -- SWEET! We have more stuff to do, but we are excited to have our first block party that we will invite all our neighbors, (dad's misssionary tool)

Hey Mark, I finally got my Eagle!!!

Well I finally buckled down and got everything finished for my Eagle. This past Sunday, Wes and I had a combined Court of Honor. It turned out really good. Bret and Lisa came up for it and lots of other people turned up. I got a lot of cool stuff like a flag that was flown over the Capital in my honor on June 17th. Thats pretty cool. I also got some letters from John McCain, Rick Renzi, Sandra Burk, Janet Napolitano, and President George Bush of all people. I also got the eagle head that's in the picture from Pompa. It feels really good to get my eagle done even though I did wait till the last minute.
