So I got BUSY and made 6 more super hero capes for my grandsons. Blake lost his spiderman cape, so I remade him another one. Then Rivers told me he wanted 'Thor' for his birthday and 'Green Lantern', and I couldn't leave Elijah and Leo without one, so I made a 'Flash' and a 'Superman' for them. I thought they turned out 'super' cute!!
SPIDERMAN
This blue "Thor" is for Blake on his birthday. I ordered a 'hammer' off Amazon, what's Thor without his hammer!!?
FLASH
I found some cool mask patterns on Pinterest
GREEN LANTERN
How cute is this SUPERMAN?
THOR
Elijah wearing his Thor costume!
Thor and Flash having fun!
Kari made this 'super' cute cape hanger for the boys. She hand painted all the letters!
Then, we've been running our freeze-dryer almost non-stop. Anytime anything goes on sale, I buy lots and freeze-dry it. If I have left over food, I freeze dry it too. I've done scrambled eggs, lots of fruit, anything goes in!
A 'before' picture of some Arizona Chicken recipe I made.
An 'after' picture-- hard to tell the difference, right?
We did these chicken enchiladas for Ryne.
This is an 'after' picture of some avocados-- they look great!
Pineapples were .99cents, so we did a bunch of those!
Oh man, grapes are the BEST!!
Mangos turn out pretty good too.
Last week, Lisa called and told me Lilly was waking up really early because the sun is shining in her room. She wanted me to come and make some curtains with a 'black out' lining on them. So I loaded up my sewing machine and made a quick trip!
We found some really cute fabric that matched the colors of Lilly's room.
All for this little darling!
We put two gold stripes in each panel
The grommets were the finishing touch! I didn't get a picture of them put up, but they turned out really nice AND they keep the room dark!!
I came home with a little surprise for Gpa!! I brought Lilly home for a couple of days!! Lisa and Barry had some activities planned, so Lilly came to Eagar!
She was a pretty good little baby and we enjoyed getting to know this bundle of joy!!
We had planned a big cleaning day up at Milligan, lots to do before our family reunion in July. Bryan & J'net, Rick & Paula came to help. We all went out to eat and Lilly really enjoyed the noodles!
Having fun at Milligan
LaVerl worked hard getting the old outhouse ready. It was all tilted over and falling down. He had our neighbor, Harold Schwartz come with his backhoe and dig a deep hole. Then he used his skidster to place it over the hole that he had framed up with 4 railroad ties to attached it to.
Oh boy, its pretty crude, but it works!! We found out why there were two holes - well, the girls didn't like sitting where the boys went!!
J'net and Paula cleaning on this huge grill.
We sanded down all the picnic tables, getting ready to put some fresh paint on them. I didn't get a picture of all the church benches we have up there. We sanded them all down and put a fresh coat of linseed oil on them and they look so much better!
The boys were outside working on the horse shoe pits. LaVerl will have to haul a lot of sand up when these are finished. We still have the volley ball court to work on and work on the fire pit area.
Lots to keep us BUSY!
Barry came on Monday to get this little cutie pie. We got pretty attached to her, but she was really happy to see her Daddy!
LaVerl has been so BUSY working in his greenhouse planting lots of stuff, building a fence around his garden and putting in a drip system, taking care of chickens and rabbits, and irrigating!
