LAST Janurary events

The month is almost over but we managed to fit a few more things in. On Tues. Jan. 25th, I went in to get my cataracts removed. It was a pretty simple surgery. They put me to sleep for about 3 minutes when they stuck a needle in my eye to numb it. I'm grateful I wasn't aware that was happening. I was also given something to relax me through intervenious. It was also quick. I remember a short time waiting, lying in a bed with my good eye covered with a patch, a needle in my arm giving me something to relax, the anesthesiologist coming in, then waking up and being wheeled into the surgery room. The Dr. said, don't talk, I said, "OK" and he said don't say anything, you have to hold really still.  So I did and I remember a very bright light and seeing something going around in the light. Then it was done! They put a huge patch over my eye, called LaVerl and he picked me up.

 On Thursday we headed to Roosevelt again. Kirk needed help putting up a huge metal shade he ordered for his boat to go under. We took the new rug we got in Tucson, a new chair LaVerl bought me for our anniversary, and a new bathroom fan. LaVerl thought the other one was making noises. Everything in that old house is a hard fix. The new fan was bigger and he had to chisel wood off and work hard at getting it to fit. He had to get into the attic too.

It was a messy job, but now we have a new fan. So exciting!

 

The new chair looks great. So does the new rug. Our little place is looking a whole lot better than it did.

Kirk arrived early Friday morning and they started piecing it all together. They should have read the instructions better, they ended up taking half the tin back off because they had it on wrong.

 

The finished product. Yes, it looks a little off and that's because they should have leveled the ground before they started. Oh well. It will keep water out of the boat and serve its purpose!

Past January events!

 I'm late posting these events. 

On January 11th, Tuesday, we headed to our little place at Roosevelt to do some work. LaVerl had to finish putting the stucco on the outside of the new wall he put in.

He happened to tell Ron, his fishing buddy that we were going to Roosevelt Lake, so he came one day to fish. They went out early and came back late and only caught one tiny little crappie!!

On Friday, we left from Roosevelt for Tucson to go watch Kirk & Kari's boys play in a huge club soccer tournament. Teams from all over were there. In fact, Mark was supposed to bring Zallen (from El Paso) to play, but half their team got Covid, so they cancelled. We also went to the Tucson Temple.

Kirk is the main guy who started 'club soccer' in Flagstaff and he coaches River's team and helps with Elijah's team.

It was fun watching them and playing with Gabe and Leo on the sidelines.

River's team lost by one point from going to the championship game!

On Friday this week LaVerl and Ron took Ryne, Blake and Colter to Luna Lake and they caught 12 nice fish!

Friday, January 21st was also our 45th wedding anniversary. We didn't do much celebrating, just out to eat. We only took one (terrible) picture!

Later, Friday night, Mark came with Zallen and Bolden from El Paso to go snow boarding at Sunrise. It snowed on them and they had a blast! When they got home we had fish tacos from all the fish the boys caught!

A BRAND NEW GRANDBABY! #23!!

 It's a happy day! January 20th we got our 23 grandchild!

Little, really little,

baby Isabel Renee Wyson Crosby was born!

Welcome to our family baby Isabel Renee Wyson Crosby! Isabel was born on January 20, 2022 at 12:27 p.m. She weighed in at a whopping 5 lbs 6 oz and is 18 inches long. She came one day before her 37 week mark. We are so happy she is here and can’t wait to go home so we can introduce her to her big sister, who already loves her to pieces.

We feel so blessed that baby and Mommy are doing so well. Natali has had some back surgeries and the Dr.'s were worried about her having this baby naturally. She pushed 7 times and baby Isabel was born! Also when Reed gave Natali a blessing because she was having contractions at 35 weeks and dilated to a 5, he blessed her that "the baby would come when she was ready". She waited to almost 37 weeks (12 hours short) and was breathing great! 

 This is the baby rag quilt and changing pad I made for Isabel. I also made Eliana a pillow case and a super hero Princess cape witha princess crown and wand.

 

SNOW!!! A Great way to start out the New Year of 2022

 After spending most of New Years Eve in the dark because most of Eagar was without electricity for about 7 hours (well we weren't in the dark because LaVerl's solar power kicked in), we woke up to SNOW! I think we got over 10 inches of beautiful, white, fluffy snow. It looks like Winter Wonderland!!

 

 

Tami and Ryne were willing to go out in the freezing cold and play! It was fun having a few grandkids here to bundle up in all my old snow clothes and let them ride the sleds behind the RZR.

SNOW!! Such a blessing from heaven!
