More Dallas...

I spent another few days in Dallas and enjoyed Reed's kids a little longer. I loved playing with the girls and loving on baby Rome.

Monday, Jan. 5th Reed took us all to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. It's a really fun, hands on place for the kids. I wish I could remember everything I read, it was all very interesting and FUN.

One day is rained hard and the girls jumped on the trampoline! They started off with rain clothes on and eventually took them off. Eliana and Isabel play so cute together.

They took me to an amazing restaurant that served delicious meat from big skewers (Brazilian style).

My last night there, Reed got out the Christmas present I got their family. It's a little fire pit that you put on your table inside where you can roast marshmallows or just enjoy the ambiance. I also sent them a S'more kit to go with it. I wanted them to have something they could do as a family.

Saturday, before my flight, Eliana had a basketball game, it was really cute watching these little girls play! Their coach was so patient and good with them.

Reed had to leave a little before the game ended, which Eliana said they won, to take me to the airport. I sure enjoyed my time with their little family in Dallas.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I flew to Dallas, TX to spend some time with Reed's family! Kari and her 4 boys were already there! It was really fun to welcome in 2026 with all of them. Reed really spoils everyone when they come to see them! New Years Eve we did fondue and that was so fun for the kids and for me too. First we did meat (3 kinds- shrimp, chicken and steak) that cooked in a really good broth and little baby potatoes and bread in a yummy cheese sauce. Then we did fondue dessert too. We had all kinds of fruit, marshmellows, and rice Krispy bars that we dipped in 2 kinds of chocolate! I almost made myself sick I ate so much!!

Wednesday- New Years Eve Day

Everyone stayed up until midnight to toast in the New Year! Later we went outside and the kids had 'poppers' and confetti things and before they could let one off they had to tell a memory of 2025!
Thursday Jan. 1st
We all went to 'Sweet Paris' and we ate crepes for breakfast. It was awesome because we could walk there, only a couple of blocks from their house. Some had sweet and some had savory crepes. They were all yummy and delicious!

Then in the afternoon we all went to The Dallas World Aquarium, which was awesome. We were there a couple of hours, there was so much to see. It was like a tropical jungle with lots of different animals and then lots of water animals to see.

After the aquarium, Reed made an early dinner that was SOOO good, he cooked lobster and crab!!  Reed showed Elijah how to do it !

Later that evening, Natali had made reservations for us to watch the Dallas Mavericks play the 76's at the American Airlines Stadium and we got to be in a suite! (the law firm where she works has their own suite). There was all kinds of food to eat, fresh fruit, nachos, popcorn, drinks, chicken tenders, then a warm chocolatey/marshmallow dessert came out. It was so much fun!

Friday Jan 2nd
Kari and the boys had a 1pm flight home, so they left for the airport around 10:30, time to drive 30 minutes, return their rental car and then wait. However, after they arrived at the airport, they found out that their flight was delayed. It didn't leave until 3:30pm. Bummer!
We just relaxed and played all day.

Saturday Jan 3rd.
Oh man, I slept in until 9am!!  Reed got out some clay for the kids to make little play food for their kitchen set.
We went out to a really fun place to eat called Rise. It's all about Soufflés!  We had yummy soup and bread and 3 different kinds of soufflés for dinner! Dessert was also soufflés- raspberry and chocolate with chocolate sauce.

Even Rome loved them!
