Miscellaneous pictures...

Other things were happening in July too. We got several new gates put in to try to keep the elk out of our yard! They have pooped, peed, & made deep hove tracks in my yard and I'm tired of it.

Kevin Orona did a great job welding LaVerl's Dad's old gate up and then making a little gate out of an old metal wagon wheel LaVerl's brother Dave to him.

He still has to weld the other wheel up to match.

Further up our driveway is the main entrance to our house where we put another gate. Randel Penrod helped put this one up.

We still have to paint the posts and LaVerl ordered some really nice solar lights to put on them.

The problem is that the elk are coming in a different way now and in the middle of the day!!

LaVerl had his internal stents replaced for the 2nd time in June. This time there was no mention of putting the nephrostomy tubes back in his kidneys. That was a blessing! We always stay with J'net when we go to Mesa and she invites Rick and Paula and we eat & play cards.
!
Back in June, Mom was in and out of the ER several times (lots of waiting) because she had several falls. Then she had some major issues going on that required her to be in the hospital about 8 days. Her bowels are a mess after part of her colon getting removed several years ago. She got better and stronger with all the good care she received. Sonja and Randy have made everything so nice for Mom at their house. They got her a chair that lifts her up and out. A TV on a stand that rolls right to where she is sitting so she can watch her FOX news all day. Also, they fixed up her bedroom really cute for her. She slept a lot when she wasn't feeling good.

LaVerl has also been doing lots of fishing and catching!

That's about it for what's been happening around our house.

My MOM turns 100 years old!!!

July 21, 1925
That's when Lillian Anita Maurer/Eberhard was born in Tillamook, Oregon--100 years ago!! Sonja and I were super excited to arrange a birthday party for her in Mesa where more family and friends could come celebrate with her. She had lots of friends from the church and lots of grandkids and great-grandkids come see her. We found a really nice Airbnb where we could all gather, that worked out perfectly. Mom was so happy her little sister, Aunt Nita (Juanita) could come too. Her daughter, Kathy flew with her and they arrived on Thursday. Her husband, Guy came on Saturday. Mom was a trouper! She was pretty worn out, but loved every minute of it.

Chad and Luann went to see her in St. Johns before the party. It was much closer for them to come. Luann made Mom a card with 100 candles on it!!  So cute!!

Barry and Mom share the same birthday! Also, my cousin, Kathy's birthday is July 20th!!
Kathy and my twin sister, Sherry, also with Aunt Nita.

While we were visiting the kids were playing in the pool.

Bret took some 4 generation pictures with his kids- Kingston, London, Dempsey and Ivory

It was such a wonderful day. We were missing some of Mom's grandkids- Shane, Reed, (he's in Italy), Tami, & Garrett. They all wanted to be there for this historic day!! Mom is LOVED!!
After the party, on Monday, Sonja took Mom to get an infusion at Mayo Clinic and LaVerl and I brought Aunt Nita to our house. Later, Sonja and Mom picked her up. She ended up falling down a step at Sonja's and was taken to the ER. She has a broken rib!! Kathy and Guy came to visit us for the day before they headed home.
