Temple Pictures!

Oh I forgot that I promised mom that I would post the pics from when Reed and I went through the temple. It was such a wonderful day and was so fun to have so much family there! I am so glad that families are forever because mine really is the BEST and I want to live with them for all eternity! We are so lucky to have this knowledge of the gospel! Here is also a picture of Lance and I at the Salt Lake Temple- we went to a symphony there at the conference center.

Spoiled rotten!!!

Although my birthday took place on 06/06/06 and supposidly that was bad, I had a wonderful birthday! Lance really just spoiled me- it was quite fun! My day started out like normal- gym, volunteer at the MTC, scripture study- until Lance got off work at 3:00. He came and picked me up at 3:30 and wouldn't tell me a single thing about anything- he's very secretive. He did tell me how to dress though so I guess that was good! Anyways, so at 3:30 he came and got me with a bouquet of beautiful pink gerbera daisies, which I love. We ended up going hiking up to Stewart Falls, which was so green and gorgeous and fun. When we got to the falls he busted another present out of his backpack- a cute brown Hollister shirt. After the hike we went home and got dressed up for the evening and I got to wear the beautiful new pearl jewlery mom and dad bought me (thanks again! I love them!) Once again, he wouldn't tell me a single thing about anything. At 7:30 he came and picked me up and since he wanted it all to be a surprise, he made me not only put something over my eyes the entire drive, but he also made me lay the seat in the car all the way down so even if I did peek (which I honestly didn't!) I couldn't see anything. Lance was loving this power and was having way too much! So after 15 minutes or so of having my itchy black sweater over my face, we finally stopped. He made me keep my eyes closed after getting out of the car until a certain spot. When I finally opened them we were standing in front of Tucanos Brazilian resturaunt- MMMM! It is a really yummy, expensive place with the best grilled pineapple and meat. So we ate there and he gave me another gift which was a super cute silver Fossil watch that I really like. What a sweetie huh? The servers also all came out beating their drums and sang to me- it was fun! Later that night a few friends came over and visited. So ya, it was a great 21st birthday! I love how most my family decided to call me at the same time- 10 pm! Thanks for remembering me tho!

Holy Crap- I'm Engaged!

Ok, so last Thursday afternoon Becki and I left Phoenix and drove up to Logan to go to Justin Hall's wedding the next morning at 8. We got to J's house around 2am and slept on the floor, I mean listened to Trey's jack hammer of a nose all night. His sealing and reception was really good of course. I knew I wanted to propose at the SLC temple because Becki told me that is where she want to get married. I bought the ring Wednesday at aound 5pm and rushed it over to Scottsdale to have it set before we left town at around noon the next day. Just in time! Hey I perform better while under pressure! So Saturday morning we first went to an endowment session. I had the ring carefully tucked away in my pant pocket. After the amazing session we were just walking around the temple and commenting on the awesome castle that stood before us. I sat here down and began to express my unquenching love for my beautiful girlfriend and how awesome I truly think we can be together. I told her that I wanted her to be my queen and that I wanted to marry her in this castle. Ya, pretty romantic, huh? After waiting for the passersby to ....well....pass by, I stood her up (she thought we were going to slow dance) then I got on one knee and BAM!! popped the question. I was pretty nervous. She was in shock and said yes, (whew!) and we hugged and kissed and she cried. She didn't even look at the ring at first. It looks like a little crown, perfect for my princess!

Here's the exact spot where I asked her! Awesome huh?

After the proposal we went up to the 10th floor of the Joseph Smith building and had a delicious lunch to celebrate at The Garden. It had a sweet view of the temple down below.

-The Swing-

During our trip to Utah we visited Becki's grandparents house. It is this nice little cabin in Heber. It is so green and cool up there. I love Utah in the summertime. They have a sweet swing that swings you pretty high and was lots of fun. Kari and Lance got to come up and swing with us and hang out that night playing cards. Thanks again for coming up to see us! And ya, I made some pretty handsome faces as I was swinging-
