Our life was actually pretty busy in September, but I didn't take any pictures of anything. The first week consisted of the ATV Jamboree, which meant that my friend and I cooked breakfast for about 250 people all week and then a big pit BBQ meat dinner on Friday night. It's always fun, but a lot of work. We've had Tami & Ryne and boys living with us for the last several months and they left and took our grandkids with them!! Ryne is going back to school at BYU in Provo and we MISS them! The 2nd week Bret's family went to Disneyland, so I got to take care of the sweetest baby ever, little Ivory.
The next weekend was the Preparedness Fair where LaVerl baked cookies in his solar ovens and I handed out samples of my Homemade granola. There was lots of other tasting tables and so much good information and classes.
Last week we decided we'd go to Mexico to have some dental work done. We went with our friends, Glenn and Rachel Finch and so that made it more fun. (Going to the dentist is never fun!)
We went to Algodonas, just across the border from Yuma,
where LaVerl grew up. We parked in a parking lot and then walked across the border.
It was posted "No Photos", but I managed to get a few without being arrested.
It's pretty easy to get in, you just walk through these big metal gates, no ones checks anything.
The dentist we went to has been in practice about 14 years and was very professional and we were pleased with her work. LaVerl had a broken tooth that needed a root canal done and then a crown put on.
There are vendors EVERYWHERE! The streets are lined with them and they are all begging for you to stop and buy from them. LaVerl did buy a couple of belts and a few other items. Getting out was a little harder, but we didn't have any problems, thank goodness!!

We spent the night in a super nice motel in Yuma that had a super great breakfast. It was HOT so we didn't do much except eat and relax. It was a fun little trip.
