OLD friends and Parades go good together!

A couple of guys that LaVerl went to high school with in Yuma and was in a dance group called 'Country Cousins' with too, came to Pinetop for a couple of weeks.  They were enjoying the cool weather and we enjoyed spending some time with them.

Rick & Robyn Gardner and Bruce and Donna Lynn Easterday

The '3 Amigos'!  They were great friends in high school and had lots of great and fun times together.  The problem though, LaVerl couldn't remember most of them!!

We all went to the wonderful 24th of July activities in Snowflake on Saturday.  The parade was great, lots of participants and floats.
Cool cars and cool buggies and wagons.

The theme was about service in your community.

It was a fun day, the weather was perfect, just a little cloudy. After the parade we had a great BBQ meal served down at the Main Street Chapel for only $5.00.  When we went back to Pinetop, it was pouring down Rain!!

.....OH.... and we have a family of skunks in our woodpile!!! UGG!

More of the grandkids and gardens...

LaVerl actually has 3 gardens growing! The greenhouse, his 'back to Eden' garden and another big grow box with his raspberries, asparagus and strawberries. The grandkids loved picking carrots and peas and whatever else they could find.

It was great having lots of little helping hands shelling the peas!

LaVerl's carrots and beets are doing great!

He even grew some artichokes!

I've had Bret's 4 kiddos since the 4th of July. They had fun at Gma's and Gpa's hopefully. I only took a few pictures.

They played at the park for 3 hours!

I just thought this was so cute--Bret on his phone, LaVerl on his
ipad and Lilly on Lisa'a phone!

4TH OF JULY-- part 3

I'm sure glad my kids took a lot of pictures at the 4th of July parade, because LaVerl & I had to work at the temple!
The parade is always a hit with the kids because of all the candy they throw out!! Their buckets were all 1/2 way full!

After grilling hamburgers and hot dogs, we all had S'mores around the little campfire!

When it started to get dark, we had our own little fireworks for the kids! Gpa & Gma just watched all the fun!

Then we all went to watch the BIG fireworks show that the Town of Eagar puts on!!  They were fantastic! Fireworks went off for a solid 30 minutes!!
The 4th of July is such a FUN holiday!  We all love being together and teaching the kids about patriotism and enjoying all the festivities!
Today, after everyone else left, Kari & I took the kids on the 'Nature Walk' along the Little Colorado River.

4th of JULY FUN at Gma & Gpa's

It's so FUN having the grandkids here where they can just play and be together~(that's a gum ball in his mouth of course.)

Kingston & London learned how to  play '10's' and won most of the games!

They are loving playing in the big ditch!

I sure have CUTE grandkids!!

Train rides for the kiddos!

The kids LOVE Gpa's greenhouse!  They love picking and eating the carrots, the peas and whatever they can find!

Lilly likes it raw!

And she LOVES peas,  especially fresh from Gpa's garden!

The big kids had fun too on Barry's razor!!

FUN TIMES IN EAGAR - 4TH OF JULY!!
