Summer Fun & the 4th of July!

Summer is speeding by! It was really hot in June, but now our
rains have come and its been perfect!
Chad likes to have his buddies over for game night on Fridays.
They are quite the group, they have a lot of fun!

Tami & Ryne invited us to go fishing with them, but it was
only 'fishing', not 'catching'! It was still fun. We watched
hawks circling over the lake, then they would dive down
into the water and most of the time, come out with a fish!

Bret was the only one who came to enjoy our nice
cool weather and the 4th of July celebrations!

Brothers! Chad had the day off and he didn't even ask for it!

I got a little teary-eyed when the first flag went by and almost
everyone stood up, took their hats off and put their hands over their hearts!

Tami & Blake were supposed to ride on the State Farm float, but
after waiting so long in line for the parade to start, he was ready
to get off. Bret walked up to help carry Blake to where we were
sitting. He had lots more fun watching the parade than being in it!

3rd Ward always has the BEST float because Brother Goodman
is so talented! You'll notice nothing pulling this float-  I guess there's a car under it somehow with a driver.

This year the horse reared up on it hind legs, it was really cool!

We were at the start of the parade, so lots of candy was being thrown out! At first Blake wasn't to sure what to do, but he caught on quick watching the other kids. As long as his hands were full, he was happy! I'm sure his mom won't even let him eat any of the bag full he went home with!

Guess who the 'Good-neigh BEAR' is??

Blake on the way home after the parade, kicked back and enjoying himself and thinking..."Yep, its been a great day, I got to eat 2 suckers and some candy, how can you beat it?"

Tami made these CUTE shirts for all the Peters!

We all played games for awhile, ate BBQ, corn on the cob, and watermelon! Then we picked a lot of pie cherries and pitted them. It started raining, but Bret didn't care, he loved getting soaked and enjoyed the cool!
