July 21st--- MOM's 95th Birthday!!!!

 I think it's amazing to think that my Mom is 95 years old and doing so well!  I'm so lucky to still have her in my life!!

I think she had a pretty great day. She got 3 bouquets of beautiful flowers, some edible fruit bouquets, a new set of silverware, a new kindle reader and dinner from Red Lobster. And she wanted strawberry shortcake for her cake! More importantly, she had lots of phone calls and lots of her family around to spend some time with her! She is loved and has been the greatest Mom ever!!

 

 Sherry, Curt, me, Garrett and girlfriend Brenda all enjoyed a wonderful meal together!

Thank you MOM for all you have done for all of us in your 95 years!

LAKE TAHOE-- Day 3

Today, July 18th, is our last and final day here in Lake Tahoe. We had another really great day, much more laid back and relaxing than the other more strenuous days.

We all rode in a huge rubber raft 5 miles down the Truckee River.

Yes, even in the great outdoors, we had to wear our masks!

 We all had to put on lots of sunscreen because we got lots of sun.

 LaVerl's mask said "Sheeple" in small letters! He's a rebel!

 Bret's mask was a child's that didn't really fit him!

 The river was pretty low so that meant we hit and drug bottom a lot!

 We saw lots of ducks with babies and even geese!

 The last little bit at the end we hit about 4 small rapids all together, so that was exciting!

Afterwards....

We drove all the way around Lake Tahoe and the whole way was so crowded with tons of people we decided we couldn't even find a place to park to go hike another trail we wanted to see, so we headed home. 

Yay for 3 days of FUN, ADVENTURE, & FAMILY!

LAKE TAHOE Day 2

For our 2nd day of activities we went to Baldwin Beach. We all packed our lunches so we could be gone all day. We stopped at a place and rented some SUP's (stand up paddle boards) and 2 Kayaks. We blew up Marks two paddle boards that he brought then headed out towards Emerald Bay! All I can say is that Lake Tahoe is BEAUTIFUL!  Its so clear and pristine and the color changes from green to turquoise to deep blue! Kirk and Barry didn't come because of work things, we missed them!

It took us a couple of hours to paddle about 2 miles into Emerald Bay.

Once we made it to Fannette Island we found a little place to put our boards and then we ate our lunches.

On top of this little island there is a little castle looking building that we all hiked to.

Then some of us played in the COLD water!

The wind came up so we decided to head back.

 On the way back Tami rode one of Mark's boards and Mark and Holly rode in the kayak. Bret and Suzy rode the other one.

 Finally, around 4:30 we made it back to Baldwin Beach and this is where somehow we lost Mark's camelback water container!  UGG!

We got our boards back by 5:30, went and cleaned up and then we got some good food to eat! Of course its outside dining only at all the places to eat!

Day 2 was a super FUN, AMAZING DAY!
