We turned our rental into an Airbnb!!!

Its taken a few months, but we finally got our rental ready and fixed up to be a cute little airbnb. Tami and Ryne moved out the end of July and I painted the living room and bedroom. Then my Daddy died in August, so not much got done then. We waited a month for the carpet to come in, so it's just been a long process. We are calling it           "The Ostrich House" because we had the big ostrich incubator and all the equipment to candle and weigh the eggs in there.

We think it turned out pretty cute.

Here's some BEFORE pictures. We had to deal with two walls with  big vents we had to cover with bead board and gas pipes coming up through the floor.

The NOW pictures

I painted these cupboard that were different woods and colors from the oak kitchen cupboards.

I didn't measure the opening right and the chest of drawers that I put together was so tight it wouldn't go any farther that this, but we kind of like our 'floating' chest. It also makes it easier if we ever have to get to the pipes under it.

I put it up on Airbnb on a Thursday and on Friday we already had it rented to some hunters for 3 days. When they left it was rented again for 1 night. We already have it rented twice in Nov. so we are pretty excited about our little project! We hired a smart, techy guy to help us get high speed internet from our Starlink dish down to the little house. So now the only thing we don't have is our new key pad lock that is coming. We found out a regular key does not work too well. The last renter locked the door and didn't put the key back in the mailbox.

FALL BREAK. 2022

It's always fun to have some of our kids come home to enjoy FALL! They like to cool off, play at Gma's and Gpa's treehouse and zip line, see the beautiful FALL colors and pick pumpkins from the garden. Lisa and 3 kids came and stayed a week and Bret and 4 kids only stayed a couple of days.

We had a GREAT Pumpkin patch this year!!

It was rainy on Friday, but we all drove up to Big Lake to see all the FALL colors. Gpa and Kingston tried to fish, but no luck.

Lisa's kids still like our playground and trampoline!

And the mud puddles!!

And the zip line!

And make crafts with colored leaves!
And eat pumpkin pancakes with fresh pressed apple juice!

It's been a beautiful, cool, wet FALL. Lots of rain since July.
