It's THANKSGIVING!

Thanksgiving 2022 was another wonderful one. We were so lucky to have some of our kids come home to enjoy it with us. Chad and Luann came from Snowflake, Lisa and Barry's family from Queen Creek and Kari and Kirks family from Flagstaff. Mark's family were originally going to come, but they decided to stay in Pagosa Springs, CO where they have been snow skiing for whole week. We missed our other kids, but it's hard for everyone to come, plus my house just can't handle all of them. We decided to have our dinner on Friday because Kari's family had just flown in from a 12 day vacation to Qatar (to watch a World Cup Soccer game) and Jerusalem. I had their little boy, Gabe for 12 days while they were gone and we sure enjoyed him. They brought me a beautiful Nativity made from Olive tree wood!

The food was all yummy, but the pies were great!!

Lisa made a key lime that was delicious!

Gabriel just liked the whipped cream!

Lucy "I want to be a turkey"

Families and Sunsets- a few of the many things I am Thankful for!

It was a good thing that we had Thanksgiving dinner on Friday because on Thursday, LaVerl spent most of the day under our little rental (airbnb) fixing a clogged sewer line. NOT FUN!

FUN TIMES with all the CROSBY'S

It's been awhile since the Crosby siblings have gotten together. This time we had plans to ride the Verde Canyon Railroad, a train near Cottonwood, AZ. Rick made all the reservations for us, but then a few days before we were to go, they called and cancelled, saying there was some problems with the tracks. We almost didn't all go, but decided we could still have fun without riding the train. We stayed at the Lux Verde in Cottonwood, ate some good food and played lots of games. We visited the little town of Jerome, AZ and walked through the Ghost town of Hayes, AZ and saw lots and lots of antique everything.

We made reservations at the 'Elote Cafe'- Yummy corn!

Dave and Mary didn't get their picture because Mary was still inside buying us all Elote Cafe cookbooks!

We enjoyed a really good breakfast every morning at the motel.

Jerome/ Haynes, AZ was really cool.

We left Friday, Nov. 4th and got home Sunday, Nov. 7th.
We played lots of games, we all brought lots of snacks to munch on, did some shopping at Goodwill😊, had a great time walking around Haynes, and then we all went to church in Cottonwood.
IT WAS A GREAT TRIP!

IT'S HALLOWEEN!!! 2022

Every year I love to post all my kids and grandkids fun Halloween costumes. They are clever and cute!

Mark's family, well the ones that wanted to dress up!

Mark- flight surgeon, Holly- Queen of Everything, Wembley- hamburger, Bolden- black something- 'killer', Daxxon - green one-eyed monster (Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc.)

Addle Belle was Belle!

Reeds family -  Natali was the tooth fairy, Eliana was the 'candy' fairy, baby Isabel was an ice cream cone and Reed was a tooth!
(I thought he was a marshmallow!)

I was in Mesa, so I got to go to Bret and Lisa's Ward Halloween 'Trunk or Treat" party. They had about 25 crockpots of food, rolls and homemade root beer. They had a huge blowup jumping thingy, a fishing pond and 4-square for the kids. At the end, all the kids went around and got candy from everyone! It was FUN!

Lisa's kids-- Landon- Batman, (he wouldn't wear his mask or cape), Lucy was a black kitty cat and Lilly- "Red" (little red riding hood)

Lisa was super brave and cute too. Many years ago LaVerl and I dressed up for Halloween. He was a Roman soldier and I was an Egyptian princess or something. I had no clue that Lisa had taken my costumes from the attic and would ever use them, but she did!!

Bret was "Supa Fitness Guy" and he was a hoot! He definitely gets into his character. He made the kids do a workout if they wanted candy. If they didn't do the exercises with him, he gave out bags of lettuce.

He hauled workout mats and lots of weights from his house for the complete effect!!

Ivory was an 'Angel'

London a pirate.

And Dempsey was a 'devil'.

Kari said her kids were:
Rivers - a cupcake (I would never have guessed)
Elijah - soccer player, Leo- clown, Gabe - Marshall

While I was in Mesa with Mom, LaVerl was in Mexico with his brother Dave fishing at Keno Bay and they caught LOTS of fish!
