Farmer John & Prize Pumpkin

Who are we?

I know you kids don't hardly recognize us, and can't tell who we dressed up to be, so I'll tell you. Farmer John and his biggest, best, prize pumpkin growing out in his corn patch. We did have fun doing this, can't wait to see all of you kids!

well i went to a ward halloween party and dressed up like this. this isnt my real costume, i mean i threw this together in about 5 minutes so just imagine what i can do with a couple of weeks. the other picture is of 3 of my friends that dressed up in these fat suits that had little fans that kept them blown up. it was hilarious. this pic is of them sitting down and you can barely see their faces. we had to go on a scavenger hunt around campus and they were running around in those suits and it was funny. well hope everyone is great and im lookin forward to seein what everyone comes up with.

Good thought!

I thought this was worth sharing!

Every one of us progresses when we lose ourselves in the service of God by transforming ourselves through a recognition of our self- worth, by serving others, realizing that we have purpose to our lives and having reverence for the divine power within us.

Just call me Mr. KPMG!!

Well I have some exciting news! So here's the story. Monday night I had my pre-interview dinner at Fleming's steakhouse. There were about 50 interviewees there along with probably 25 KPMG people. For those of you who don't know, KPMG is one of the "Big 4" accounting firms in the world. It stands for Klynveld Peat Marwick and Goerdeler who are the firm's founder dudes. The dinner was sooo good by the way. Then Tuesday I missed class and a little of work to go to my 2nd interview from 9 until 2. They had presentations all morning and they fed us lunch at this really good mexican restaurant- the actual interviews were from 1 to 2. I thought they went pretty good. Anyways- I opened up my email this morning and found out that I had been selected for the internship! They chose 13 people in total out of about 35 applicants from ASU, U of A, NAU, and BYU was also there. so it's for 9 weeks in the beginning of the Summer. They're gonna send me to Florida for 2 weeks for training. I'm way excited cuz an internship pretty much means a full time job with them, especially after they see my sweet skillzzz. Woohoo! later fam-

Just a little sneak PEEK!

So Ya'll-- here above, is just a little taste of what your up against!! BE AFRAID! Happy Costume Hunting! Love, the soon to be champion of costumes contests EVER!

Hi everyone! Bret and I went to a corn field Friday night and got lost in the maze. (But not really because we went with a group and paired off into teams to see who could find all 6 clues first and guess who won...US!)
Saturday night a fun group of YSA's came over and we had a festive pumpkin dinner and carved pumpkins! I carved a cool Halloween tree and Bret carved a scary Halloween face......Ok now it's Bret speaking or typing I should say. Ya we had fun Friday at the maze and Saturday I spent like two hours carving that most sweet pumpkin that you can see. Lisa was way proud of how well she cleaned out her pumpkin as you can see in the photo. We like the holiday season and hope that all of you are enjoying it as much as we are! ok talk to you all later- Double H! (that means Happy Halloween of course)

pics

hello fam

well this past week has been pretty eventful, especially friday. on friday, brian and i went to "true-blue football" where they have this field covered in blue foam stuff and people are just sliding and diving into it. we got on a flag football team and got to play some flag football in blue foam. i know what your asking, and yes, i was the star player, catching a game tying touchdown in the last seconds. the funny thing is that this was about an hour before we had to pick up our dates for homecoming so we had to hurry back to the dorm and we had about an hour to shower and get ready. well being the forgetfull person i am, i left my camera down at the field which is about a ten minute walk each way. luckily someone let me borrow their bike and i rushed down to the field and got my camera and came back. now i had about 30 minutes to get ready, no biggy right? well i take a shower and i am still tinted blue, my hands, my feet and a little bit on my face. i didnt have time to take another shower so i just start scrubbing and the blue is not coming off, especially on my hands. so i just got ready and went to pick up my date, blue hands and all (you can see my blue tinted hand in one of the group pics). luckily most of it came off my face so it wasnt too bad, i just put my hands in my pockets as much as i could. on our date we went to macaroni grill and then went to the dance (which had 2 very large chocolate fountains. mmmmmm...). after the dance we went and changed and had an intense game of croquet where our legs were tied to our dates and we had to use one stick between the two of us. it was great fun. so that was pretty much my date, my hands are still tinted a bit and its sunday. yesturday i got to hang out with mom and dad. its good to see them but i wish tami coulda came. shes all alone at home ;(. i bet she had a rockin party last night tho, haha. well, i better go to church. i love you all. (i cant get the pics to work right now but ill try to put them up later)

LIFE IS GOOD!

If life were easy it wouldn't be hard. as Sherry Dew says. Over the past couple weeks I have realized the importance of a firm foundation.I'm so glad I have been taught correctly and have my own testimony to lean on. Outside circumstances have really put what is really important to me into to perspective I am so grateful for the gosple of Jesus Christ. Nothing else matters. Satin tries to trick you, He tries to distort your righteous desires. I guess I am just so relieved that I have had the best support group in the world who have etched truth and testimony on my heart. THATS YOU--My family! I have had to learn the hard way about what kinds of people to allow in my life. Are they uplifting or do they hold you back? I look too much for the good and get tunnel vision. When my eteranl salvation is at hand I cannot be accepting of a few good things about a person.A beutiful outer shell means nothing if your actions are ugly. if you want to be beautiful work on the inside-it lasts! anyways I'm just want you all to know that I MADE the RIGHT choice! It may take me a long time but I do it. So the pics are my special roomies and I. I'm back in my apartment and its great. I feel at home. OH by the way-- I start my pre-reqs for dental Hygene school January 17th =i'm all signed up. So in 2 1/2 years I will be able to clean all your teeth! I'm so excited! It feels great to have a plan and put it into action. I love you all. Have a super duper day.

Costume challenge

So Halloween is 3 weeks away. I've been told by my wife that I have to dress up for a little kid Halloween party, so I think if I have to do it, we all do. So I think everyone (including mom and dad) should dress up for Halloween, take a picture and then we'll all post our pics and vote on who's is the bestor most creative. By the way, I just found on a website this morning what I'm going to be and I'm pretty sure I'm going to win. But if you're up for the challenge, start thinking about what you can be. By the way, I've emailed Chad, but Reed or Kari will have to go over there to take a picture so he can be involved in the fun as well. I can't wait to see what he comes up with ;)

My Life!!!

This week has been a pretty busy week. General Conference was great and it was great to spend time with Kari and Bret and Becki. I had a couple of tests that on one i dont think i did too great on but its ok. Then I solved the rubiks cube for the first time ever. Ya i know, amazing. Money (my roomie) taught me how to do it and now i can solve it in about 5 minutes. On Monday my FHE family went and hiked the Y and that was fun. My calling in the church is to be a FHE "dad" for my group and plan all the activities for my group. When we hiked the Y my FHE "mom" broke her ankle on the very top and we had to carry her down to the bottom. We didnt think it was broken but it was. On Saturday night a bunch of people from the ward went ice skating. Im probably the best ice skater ever. I still remember when me and Tami wanted to be professional ice skaters. haha. well, that is pretty much my week in a nutshell. I hope to hear from all of you soon and i love you all.

oh hey hey!

hey fam! I don't know how to flip the picture. It was fine on my comp then when I posted it it turned sideways! All well- you get the idea! It was way fun spending the weekend with Bret, Becki, and Reed and to listen to the wonderful general conference! Let me tell you all what happened to me this week... I was at work on tuesday and it was 6 pm, which is what time we close. There was a little white-haired man and his wife in the store looking around; I don't think they realized that we were closed. Anyways, so the man came up to the counter with some of his wife's stuff while she finished looking around so I started ringing him up. I asked him if he was fauculty or staff because they get a 10% discount. He paused for a moment and said, well actually, I am a general authority, and he whipped out a little card proving that! That caught me a little off gaurd, so I stumbled thru how I don't know if general authorities get discounts because I've never had one come it- I sounded like a total retard because I was so flustered! I ended up giving him a 20% discount anyways! so to make matters worse, my coworker asked him if he got to sit on the stand at general conference with president Hinckley. He replied, "well yes, I actually spoke at general conference!" aaaa! We felt a bit bashful and so I of course tried to cover and said something stupid like, "I knew I recognized you!" (even though I totally didn't!). It was Paul K. Sowbrowski and he spoke sat afternoon. I tried to rack my brain to remember his topic, but with no success- so I couldn't even comment on how wonderful and inspiring his talk was! Anyways- he was super nice even though I made a fool of myself!

General Conference-

So like, Becki and I decided that Temple Square and General Conference pretty much are some of the best places in this whole wide world. ok, so we already knew that, but it was amazing to get to visit and go to a few sessions of conference. Reed, Kari, Becki, my bud Chris Wilson and I went to Sat. morning and I got to go to Priesthood as well. How awesome is that, that a prophet of God speaks to us and we get to hear so much sweet council to help us live better! Man this church rocks! I got to see Chadwick and remind him to keep the house clean- His new roomies seem nice. They will treat him good. The trip was great. so nice not to have to drive- spendy but worth it! k bye- (ND) ps. sweet pics huh? ya Becki is like a professional photographer- later

Homecoming!

Hey Family of mine! It has been a while since homecoming but life has still been pretty busy so im just getting around to letting ya'll know how it went! I had actually been getting ready for homecoming week a couple of weeks ahead because this year Hil and I were incharge of the parade, so I had to send out entry forms, collect them, get judges, put all the floats in order and all that jazz. It was actually less stressful then doing the assembly last year, hil did a lot too tho. Anyways so we had the bonfire which was really fun, there has been so much more school spirit this year now that our football team is actually good, (we beat blueridge this fri.! yay!) so school spirit always helps. The assembly was really good- reed you will have to watch the video of shane and ryne's skit it was pretty funny. So sat. for our day we went up to the mountains and rode 4wheelers, shot guns, played volleyball, had a marshmellow fight which turned out to be kinda a cow pie fight between me and my date- i wont go into that... and they cooked up some chicken, it was all marinated and stuff, it was good. I was in a really big group, the picture of the group is actually only about half of the people who went on the date. So then after the date I came home and got all dressed up and daniel came and picked me up, and we took pictures and headed to the dance. The dance was pretty hoppin' and i got my groove on with my sweet dance moves. So that was basically it, it was really fun!Its kinda nice that it is over with tho, so there isnt much to worry about! So sorry I havent talked to some of you for a while, but I love you all! I'll do better. You guys are great!

Kaemon's new face

So I guess Kaemon figured out how to breathe through his nose and he loves to sniff in and out while making this face...it's pretty funny.
