Back in Mesa

Sonja and I are taking turns being with our folks every other 2 weeks. I also get to see a couple of my kids while in Mesa.
Lisa came over with her 3 this week to visit and spend some time!

The 2 Lillian's
 Lucy
 All 3 enjoying some popsicles!
And Landon is one very busy boy!
LaVerl came down this weekend to help Bret with the electrical work on his kitchen he is remodeling. He's got a big plastic tarp up to keep the mess from going everywhere in his house.
LaVerl and Bret worked about 8 hours getting everything done!
A new BIG double refrigerator will fill almost this whole wall.
They have their whole kitchen stacked up in boxes.
Remodels are pretty rough!! But it will sure be nice when
its done in about a month!
Ivory was just so cute eating her Nutella sandwich!

Grandkids!

Its summer and that's when grandkids like to come and play at Gma's and Gpa's house. The big ditch is always fun!
It's cold and muddy, but they love it.
Bret's kids came for a week. Then I went and got Kari's 3 boys too.
A trip to Dairy Queen is always fun.
Rivers took a 'selfie' with my phone!  Funny!
More FUN to come!

Progress on the TREEHOUSE!!

IT'S GONNA BE FUN!
Here's some of the latest pictures of the progress of the treehouse!
I made a cute sign directing everyone. LaVerl put some solar lights on it so you can see it at night!
  the 'clubhouse'

The door to the clubouse is now on barn door runners. Plus LaVerl bought this really cool swing!
There are 3 ways up into the treehouse lower level. The cargo net and the rock climbing wall and the ladder.

This is the gate that will open for the zipline to go through.

I had Kari's boys painting the rocks for the tic tac toe game.
We had to find a good piece of wood for the top and then LaVerl burned in the marks.

LaVerl put some nice wood chips all around under both sides. Then we decided a horseshoe pit would be fun, so we separated where the sand will go from the chips.

LaVerl decided we needed a new bridge across the ditch to make getting back to the zipline easier from the orchard. It was pretty funny when he was coming across it with a heavy wheelbarrow full of dirt when the wheel went through a weak spot and he almost fell in the ditch when the wheelbarrow tipped and went in!! I saved the wheelbarrow, but the dirt all floated away!!
Our old bridge was 33 years old and pretty rotten so LaVerl is replacing that bridge.
We'll use some of the good boards to finish the railing on the second deck after the slide and staircase go on.
The irrigation ditch is running really full, but my day lilies are sure pretty.
This is the 17 foot pole that will be 4 feet in the ground for the end of the zipline.
LaVerl is sad that he has to cut off some of the branches of his fruit trees to accommodate the zipline.
Well, that's all we've done so far. We're waiting on the spiral slide and staircase to come and the zipline. Hopefully, all next week!
