Wow!! It was 40 years ago we got married! Time sure flies when you're having FUN! I thought it was interesting that we spent our anniversary in Mexico with Dave and Mary, since we all went on our honeymoon together too. They had been married a month, but decided it would be great to go to Alcapulco, Mexico together. It was great, except for the fact that they all speak Spanish and I don't!!
We met in Tucson on Thursday Jan. 19th. We drove and brought our renters brother with us who needed a ride to Tucson. Dave flew and Mary drove from Las Vegas. We all went to eat and then went to the Gaslight Theatre to see "The Two Amigos!" Very cute and very funny! We spent the night and left the next morning. We left our car at the airport and drove with Dave and Mary!
We drove by the Hermosillo Temple.
We stopped for lunch at a place they really like. It was so interesting to watch them make these wonderful tortillas! They start out as little balls of dough and they stretch them into a big flour tortilla, then put them on this round grill to cook them.
They serve the burritos with all this! Yummy!!
Dave & Mary have lots of friends and we made several stops visiting! These nice people fixed more food for us to eat. He put corn on the cob on a grill and some tortillas. She came out with a pot of beans and soup. Yummy!
We finally made it to there house in Kino about 4:30.
He opens up the big garage door and this is their view! Very nice!

Mary has designed the guest bedroom around this Greg Olsen painting. It totally Mary and totally "Mexico" all in one room.

They have a lady, Rayna who comes and gives them massages every time they come to stay. They love them and treated us, well only LaVerl, to several when we were there!

Yummy! We ate lots of good food there. It was great that Dave & Mary knew where to eat the good Mexican food because some of the places they took us looked totally scary!!
The boys had to wait until Monday to go out fishing because the weather was rainy and cold for a couple of days. Dave has a really nice boat!
Everything in Mexico is built out of cement and blocks.
For our 40th wedding anniversary, LaVer bought me a beautiful diamond white gold wedding band and some matching diamond earrings! I love them!!
Then we went to this really fancy VIP movie theater with these wonderful lounge chair/love seats! It was great!
Our last night there they took us to a restaurant called Jorge's. Again, very good food! Dave had made arrangements for the owner to sing "Happy Anniversary" to us, along with some flan with a candle in it for us! He sang many songs and the people at the next table really got into singing with him, it was pretty funny!
We had a week of good times, good company, and good food!
