DEMPSEY gets baptized! Oct. 17th, 2020

Well, Dempsey was finally able to get baptized after waiting about 10 months since her birthday last December. Covid-19 still put a slight damper on things, but her baptism was well attended with family and friends who support her and love her.

Her Dad, Bret was able to baptize her and confirm her. Just immediate family were  able to be at the church for these ordinances. We sang an opening and closing song, which Bret asked me to play for and Luann lead, witnessed the baptism and confirmation, then had a closing prayer.
Then we all went to his house where a lot more friends came for a wonderful and beautiful luncheon that Suzy put out for everyone!

It was wonderful that Becki's 3 sisters came and her mother. Aubrey even made this beautiful dress for her.

This was the beautiful table setting that Suzy did. They had a sub-sandwich place make a huge sandwich in the shape of an 8. She served fruits and dip, chips and lots of condiments for the sandwiches. Plus, cupcakes and carrot sheet cake. All so yummy. There were pictures of Dempsey and her family on the windows and balloons!

Chad and Luann drove from Snowflake that morning!
Dempsey's other new Grandparents, Sam and Vicky Sherwood, Suzy's parents.
It was a lovely day. Dempsey is a sweet, wonderful granddaughter and we were so glad that we were able to spend this special day with her.

FALL BREAK- Kari & 4 boys plus Blake, Colter AND Holly & 6 kids come!

Fall is just so great in Eagar that more grandkids had to come!

Kari  drove to meet Tami, who drove 1/2 halfway to Flagstaff from St. George, to pick up Blake and Colter so they could play with cousins. Then they wanted MORE cousins to come, so they talked Holly into bringing her kids from El Paso.

We got to do fun things with them. We picked all the pumpkins, gathered the eggs, we picked apples and made apple juice with the apple press, we played on the zipline and treehouse, we roasted S'mores around the campfire, they built a fort, slept out on the trampoline one night and had a slumber party the next night. It has been pretty WILD around here!!!

On Friday their cousins arrived and then things got really FUN!
The boys spent a lot of time building their fort out of Gpa's woodpile!
Gabriel is such a sweet baby boy!

Sunday morning biscuits and gravy! Milea helped!
One final picture together!

Get Away FUN with the Lee's

LaVerl wanted to take me to Lake Powell for a little get-away and because its been so very long ago that I've been there. To make the trip more fun, we decided to invite my sister Sonja and husband Randy to come with us! We picked them up on Friday Oct. 9th at 5:30 am and drove to Page, AZ.

We put in at Antelope Point and were on the lake by 11:30. It was a little cool at first with the water splashing on us, but what a beautiful, amazing place Lake Powell is!

There are some really huge houseboats stored here!

It wasn't long until we found a nice little fishing spot!

LaVerl caught a couple of BIG ONES!

We ate at a really good Mexican place for dinner. It was great, there were no masks and no social distancing! We were celebrating Sonja's birthday on Saturday!

We got up early and headed home so we could be there in time to watch the BYU game that Randy recorded. We would've made it in time except for a wreck on the interstate that held us up for 2 hrs. LaVerl and Randy sure had lots to visit about! Sonja and I talked non-stop too! I sure love my sister!

It was really a bummer because a big tanker truck going west on the I-40 crossed the medium and turned over on our side of the interstate just before our exit! You can see our exit sign in the background! We were about 3 miles back stopped in all the traffic!

So that was our little get-away! It was short, but we saw some awesome wonders of nature, enjoyed being out on beautiful Lake Powell, and mostly loved being with family!

FALL BREAK-- Lisa and Kiddos come visit....

It was fun having Lisa and Lilly, Lucy and Landon come home to Eagar. Its still HOT in Queen Creek and they needed to see Fall in the mountains. They played outside in the cool weather, they played in the treehouse and on the zipline, they picked pumpkins in Gpa's pumpkin patch, took lots of rides on the 'quads', S'Mores's around the firepit at night and we went to the Zoo here in Eagar!

The R Lazy J Wildlife Ranch or Zoo in Eagar has quite a few animals!

The kids LOVED "Christmas" the camel. She is VERY friendly and hungry. They fed her lots of carrots.

S'mores are always fun at night around the firepit! Lucy caught a little cat! Lilly had her little friend, Emerson (Ashley (Nicoll) Hamblin's child, over to play.

If it has a KEY and a motor, Landon will find it!

Trampoline fun and sunsets!
