Milligan Valley Reunion!!!

                          July 4th & 5th, 2025

 It's been 3 years since our last family reunion at our barn in Milligan Valley, but according to all involved, it was another success. We had lots of fun, visiting, eating and playing together. It was fun to see cousins we haven't seen in years and to be able to reconnect with them.

The first thing we had to do was- clean the barn and the corral and around the horse shoe pit. The weeds were tall and thick. We loaded LaVerl's dump trailer full of them. With the fire restrictions, we were not allowed to burn them. We did some cleaning before some of our kids arrived to help, we hauled the water tank up, the skidster on the dump trailer and lots of tables and chairs from the church. Once help arrived, everything got done pretty fast. "Many hands make light work".                                        

             

People started arriving Thursday night because the 4th of July parade was on Friday. We had roped off our spot by the State Farm building on the Monday before to save it. We had a big crowd!

FRIDAY

   

After the parade, I invited everyone up to our house to eat because the town didn't offer a BBQ this year. The kids dumped all their candy and some even had a game of poker and used it for chips.

Uncle Dave wanted to get the old John Dere tractor going, so with Mark's help to get it started, LaVerl got on and drove it around.                         

After hanging out at the house for awhile, we headed up to Milligan.

It's always a lot of work, but well worth it. It's all about FAMILY!
