GOING HOME TO OREGON JUNE 1st-8th DAYS 1 & 2

 Our Mother, age almost 93 wanted to go home to Oregon one last time to spend some time with her 3 sisters, Hilda-89, Violet-84, and Juanita- 80! Sonja and I decided that we would help her to do just that. Using my Dad's air miles, we booked 3 flights into Portland, OR. on Friday, June 1st. My cousin Vicky & I had made plans, but somehow she hurt her back severely and wasn't able to come. Everything then landed on cousin Kathy, who took over like a champ. Aunt Hildi has a time share condo in Newport Beach and that is where we all stayed. Heidi, my other girl cousin came with Aunt Vi and they only stayed till Tuesday. What a super great time we all had together, laughing, remembering and sharing.

We got to Mesa on Thursday and took Mom to get pedicures. Mom wasn't feeling good, but she put on a brave face! Sonja and I stayed with Justin that night, then picked Mom up on Friday morning. We had to make a quick run to Zounds, Mom's hearing aids were beeping a low battery sound, but we made it to the airport in plenty of time. We liked having Mom in a wheelchair, we got to seat first!!

 

Vicky was supposed to pick up her mom and Aunt Nita and Aunt Vi, but that feel to Paul who had to drive to Selah and back to Powell Butte all in the same day!! What a trooper!

 

Aunt Nita fixed a nice meal for all of us and Mom and Aunt Hilda stayed with her for the night and Sonja & I went to Kathy's.

They have a beautiful yard, the Dogwood trees are all in bloom!

We wanted to get an early start to drive down to Newport, but we didn't get off until after 1pm!! We stopped for ice cream along the way and got there about 5ish. Otter Crest is just beautiful this time of year with all the rhododendrons in bloom!!

When we got to Otter Crest, our luggage and ourselves were loaded into these little golf cart electric things and driven to our condo. Aunt Vi and Heidi were there waiting for us! They had been 'partying' a little without us! We were all hungry, so we loaded up again in the golf carts to our cars and headed to Depoe Bay for dinner at the Sea Hag!

 We all stayed up late visiting and planning the next few days. All the sisters slept downstairs and us cousins slept upstairs. The view out to the ocean was so beautiful. Oregon looks like paradise!

MEMORIAL DAY!! MAY 28-29TH!! Fun at Roosevelt!

Opps! I forgot to post these pictures of our fun at the Lake over Memorial Day. Kirk & Kari called and wanted to come to Roosevelt to play because all the forests were closed in Flagstaff due to fire danger! LaVerl was conducting our Sunday meetings at church, so we couldn't leave until after 3:00. They got there before us and Kari had dinner all ready when we got there! Bret and his kids showed up after 10pm! Monday we were on the lake by 9am and it was beautiful! Barry and Lisa even came with their 3 little kiddos, the two babies in their car seats!

 Rivers even tried to get up on skis!! He didn't have a great experience, he forgot to let go of the rope and got drug through the water for a ways! But that got Kingston to try and after about 8 attempts at getting up, he stayed up about 15 seconds!

She finally relaxed enough to take a nap!

We always have fun when we play at the Lake. We did have a few sewer problems!! We had our friends, the Boone's stay there a few days before and they told us sewer was coming up in the bathtub!! Ugg! So LaVerl rented an industrial snake from Woodland early Saturday morning and we headed to Roosevelt to fix the problem. We thought we had it fixed, and were back home by 7:30 Sat. evening. When we arrived Sunday night, we saw water outside and covering the bathroom floor! LaVerl ended up taking off the toilet and running a small snake down to the first clean out. We never saw anything pass, but it seemed to work better after that. He did crack the toilet taking it off, but it seemed to still seal! Always fun at the Lake!!

MAY 1, 2018 --#20 GRANDBABY!!

On May 1st we got our #20 grandchild!!  We are pretty thrilled about that and Reed and Natali are super excited to have their first little baby!! She was born at 7:22pm weighing in at 6 lbs 13oz.!

HER NAME IS:  Eliana Launa Wyson Crosby!

Wow, what a miracle new babies are! She looks perfect and pretty adorable and brand new!!

I just love when I get to see pictures of what my kids and grandkids are doing on Easter! What a beautiful holiday to have fun, but mainly to remember our Savior Jesus Christ!

Lilly was up about 5am and followed a trail of eggs 

down to her basket saying, "Mommy, Mommy, there's

too (so) many eggs, so many eggs!" as she's putting them in her basket as fast as she can!

"Today was pretty much a perfect day... I took a break from social media and really just focused on Jesus and these cuties. And it was just what this mama needed (although I could’ve done without some of the fighting😝). 

Something about truly being present, loving on those you love most and thinking of Jesus just leaves your heart happy! I hope you all had a fabulous Easter Sunday that filled your soul as well "
