CHERRIES---are a lot of WORK!!

July 5th

With some of our kids home, we recruited some help picking the pie cherries! Our pie cherry tree is always loaded with cherries and they are always ripe right around the 4th of July!

 London dressed Lilly up in the cabbage patch doll clothes...

and- they fit her!! She was eating the sour pie cherries like candy!

 All our little cherry pickers! They did a good job!

 

 They picked about 3 of three BIG bowls full! I juiced most of it to make jelly, then we had to pit the rest, about 2 gallons more!

 Cherries are A LOT of WORK, but the rewards are great!!

We ended up with about 24 pints of wonderful cherry jelly!

Oh and 4 1/2 pints of rhubarb/strawberry jam!!

 While we worked, 'someone' had to stay in the house and watch the babies!!!

Its great to have some of my kids home!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!

We started our 4th of July with a flag ceremony with the kids. 

 After a breakfast of biscuits and gravy, we headed down to the parade! The Peters saved us a really good spot by State Farm!!

 This was the class of '68' float. LaVerl also graduated in '68', although not from Round Valley, but he knew all these people from grade school. They hollered at him to get on the float, so he did!!

WHOA!!  50 years!!

 It was almost more fun watching the kids run after the candy, than watch the parade.  Lilly and Leo were so cute and so excited!

I've sure got CUTE grandkids!!

 We played a lot of 'cornhole' and the kids had fun with the sprinkler under the trampoline.  Fun times! 

We are so blessed to live in 'the land of the free'-

BLESSING LANDON RAY TODAY!!

Today, Sunday, July 1st, 2018, Landon Ray Keime was given a name and a blessing by his Dad, Barry Keime. Nanna & Pompa came to the blessing and Kari came with Leo from Flagstaff. It was a beautiful Sabbath Day for this beautiful little 
family!

It's hard to believe that a few short years ago these two were trying so hard to have a child and now they have 3!!  Prayers are definitely answered! 

 

Barry is always asking Landon, "Hey, do you want to go hunting?"

My Mom and Dad, still coming to support our kids!

Landon is our #19 grandchild!!  We are so blessed!!

Kari was so sweet to drive all the way from Flagstaff to be there!
