JULY 4th BIG FAMILY REUNION!

On July 4th we had our BIG extended Family Reunion up at Milligan Valley in the old barn. I think everyone had a great time and it was a BIG success. We played lots of games, got lots of visiting in with cousins we haven't seen in awhile, ate lots of good food, enjoyed a little rain and cool weather, had some fun entertainment, made a few crafts and had a dutch oven dessert contest. Here's lots of pictures!

We ate 2 meals together in the big barn. Lunch was on our own.

We were so glad Reed, Natalie, Eliana and baby Isabel were able to come from Texas!

At the dutch oven dessert contest, Dave won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with his 3 entrees.  He was awarded a 'clean sweep'!

The reunion ended on Sunday and on Monday the 4th of July, we all went to the parade!  Its always a lot of fun for everyone!

Kingston had a rough few days at the reunion, feeling pretty sick.

Aunt Nan wanted to wear a hat like Lisa and Kari.

What a wonderful time we all had together!

June happenings...

June started off with a huge water bill. We had a water leak we couldn't find. When LaVerl did find it, it was about 4 feet down.

At one point he almost fell in and could hardly pull himself out!

June 6th was my Dad's 95th birthday. 

I went down to Mesa and spent the day with them. We tried to surprise him with a party. Mark was at Roosevelt with his family, so he basically planned the evening. Bret and his family, Lisa and her family came too. It was a pretty big crowd for their little house, but I think they enjoyed the ruckus. Dad was super yellow and not feeling very good, but he was trying to be happy we were all there. He had a Dr.'s appointment later that week!

 

I went down and back in the same day because we were leaving the next day for Sedona, AZ. LaVerl was offered a place to stay in a nice airbnb if he would fix their electrical problems. So we were there for 3 days. Its so beautiful there. We only went on one hike as it was already hot. We are lots of good (expensive) food, and we relaxed and had fun.

We stopped in Flagstaff so LaVerl could do some electrical work for Kari. She wanted a Bidet put in her bathroom and it needed an electrical outlet put in. LaVerl is a pretty handy guy!

June 19th was FATHERS DAY!

Again I went to Mesa to spend time with my Dad.

At his Dr. appointment they found out he had a tumor blocking his bile duct and he needed surgery! Luckily that went ok and they put in a stent. He's a tough old guy! He got to go home and we actually got pictures with all of our family together.
