Maybe Spring hasn't Sprung...

We thought Spring was here, but Wednesday morning we woke up to SNOW!

Dad's apricot trees, not so tough! We won't be getting apricots this year--so SAD!

This was actually the second snow we got. Tuesday morning on our way to Snowflake at 4am, there was lots of snow and not a snowplow in sight!

It didn't stick to the roads and was all gone by noon!

It was great to get the moisture for the lawn and trees, even if it was in the form of snow!

Today is blue skies, no sign of winter weather. Just those 2 days of cold wiped out our 5 apricot trees-  bummer!

"Spring" is here!

Spring means many things. It can mean wind, cleaning, new growth, warmer weather, and doing more outdoors. Dad and I went to Roosevelt to watch General Conference and to enjoy the nice warm weather of SPRING!

We did a lot of Spring cleaning. We trimmed the dead out of trees and bushes, and pulled weeds.

We enjoyed watching conference, it was quiet and peaceful, but a little lonely without anyone else there with us.

We got up early Monday and went fishing!  It was
a little cool, but so beautiful and calm out on the lake,
well--for a while!

After a few hours, Dad finally caught a little bass!

I didn't have a fishing license, so I took a little nap. Well, as the day progressed, the wind came up and we had to hurry and get off the lake. It started howling and the wind was so strong it looked like a dust bowl everywhere.

Here's the 'catch of the day'! At least we caught something!

I had to take a few pictures of the 'colors of Spring'! Pretty yellows...

We had WIND all the way home, its a sure sign, SPRING is here!

Easter in Eagar

We had a fun Easter this year. Tami planned a lot of fun things at her house. The kids colored more eggs, they made a cute little craft, had a great Easter egg hunt, and we ate good food. The Peter's came, so there were lots of kids!

Tami asked me to bring spinach dip to the Easter party at her house, so I made this bunny. I scooped out the belly, added some whiskers, (fruit leather), eyes (craisins), teeth, (sliced almonds), then surrounded it with crackers and veggies. Sorry, I forgot to take a finished picture.

The guys stood around and visited.

It was extra fun because Luann got to come and spend the weekend, also Lisa and Barry came and brought their friends, the Herbert's, plus Bret and Becki.

we really enjoyed their company. They brought an Easter basket FULL of candy and also made us all a huge bowl of YUMMY salsa that we all loved! They are welcome anytime!

We had a pretty nice day, it had been warmer the day before, but at least it wasn't snowing and blowing! After the party, Tami also made us all a great dinner. Then on Sunday we blessed baby Colter Ryne Peters at church. It was a great Easter weekend!

A week of fun! Spring Break!

So this Gma (and Gpa) had a fun week having London & Kingston spend time in Eagar with us. Their mommy (Becki) is having morning sickness so bad that I thought I could help a bit by taking these two off her hands for a week.

We did lots of fun things, including dying eggs
and having practice Easter egg hunts.

Gpa got six new little baby chicks they loved watching.

Tami brought over Blake and Colter to play. Other fun things we did were-- go to the library and get some books to read and also  play on the computers there, we went on a nature hike along the Little Colorado River, we played at the city park and they learned how to explore at Gma and Gpa's house! We also made cookies, played 'Guess Who' (a lot!) but probably the most fun they had was when Uncle Chad came over to play! 

It wasn't all fun and games. They had to do a little work too. They both helped Gma dust the whole house while I vacuumed. They both earned some money to buy some little toys. Lisa took this picture of them wanting to earn some more money, so they cleaned Barry's truck! 

We had beautiful Spring weather while they were here, in fact, our Apricot trees are all in bloom.  We just can't help but think of ALL the apricots we'd get if they didn't all freeze!!

Finished Project....part 2

So my utility room is about done, I still have a few minor details to finish, but the hard work is over! It was lots of work, but I'm pretty happy with it, it has a new fresh look!

I made some little curtains, more for looks than really needing them.

Tami came over one day to help me make these signs!

I know you are all going love my new coat rack. Dad & I found it
out 4-wheeling at Roosevelt. Its a gate hinge, we just added the horseshoes. It has 'character'!

We love the tile, I think it will be great at hiding dirt!

Dad is always so great at putting in new switches for me!

These are what started the whole project! I've had them in the garage since January. I love them so far!
