Ohio trip-- part 2

We were gone 10 days to Ohio and loved spending that time with Kirk & Kari's little family. We loved getting to know our little grandsons better, they sure are adorable.

 Rivers loved cutting out snowflakes, he made enough

to cover both sliding glass doors.

 One night we ventured out to go see some Christmas

festivities and decorations.

 It was SO COLD!! I think its because they live so close to Lake

Erie and its a wet cold.

 Kari had Leo wrapped in the 'moby' and inside her coat, so he 

was toasty warm.

Kari had a fun activity for the boys to do everyday. One day she did reindeer sandwiches and reindeer snacks while they watched a Christmas movie.

Such lucky little boys.

 Rivers is such a little character. He loved crawling

in bed with us every morning.

Yep, we sure had a great time. It was fun seeing this

little family in action, how they spend their days and

Leo Jesse Kinsey - #14 Grandchild!!! part 1

 We are so excited to welcome Leo Jesse Kinsey, #14 grandchild into our family!! He was born on Nov. 29th, 2014. Dad & I didn't get to see him until Dec. 3rd when we flew to Olmstead, Ohio!

like his brothers!

 Kari had a few projects to keep Dad busy while we 

were there for 8 days!

 Leo laying on the quilt I made him. Kari wanted a train theme because there are lots of trains where they live, we see them everywhere and hear them too.

He is one handsome boy! It always seems like a miracle when babies are born- they are so wonderful and we know how blessed we are when they are born healthy and perfect! We were glad to get to go see them and be able to help out a little. Thanks Kari and Kirk for our newest grandson!

LATE NOVEMBER POST....

Where did November go?? 

A few things we did---Dad and I both had Lisa clean our teeth. She does a really good job. After we finished, we picked up my chocolate and nut order. We had the truck and trailer loaded down with about 2000 pounds! Then Lenna and I had to bag up and sell over the weekend. 

I sewed over 75 of these little white stockings to give to our Relief Society sisters for our Christmas lesson.

We got a little snow in November.

 I ordered 40# of cheese that I had to grate and freeze.

 The day before Thanksgiving, Dad and his friend Billy Wiltbank decide they NEEDED to go fishing at Big Lake.

 Within an hour, they both caught their limit and they were BIG ones!

 Dad was so excited, he decided that he had to take the kids fishing when they come home for Thanksgiving!!

This is the only picture I got of our Thanksgiving meal!!

 So on Friday morning, this little group got up early to go catch some fish!! They had a problem though---the lake had frozen over!!

 They threw heavy rocks on the ice, but it wouldn't break through!

 LaVerl walked around to a spot that hadn't frozen, and managed to catch one fish!! 

 Even though the fishing was lousy, everyone had a great

day relaxing and enjoying the beautiful outdoors!!

Well, thats all the pictures I took, I guess I was busy cooking! We ate lots of good food, played a few games, watched movies, relaxed and had good times. Bret had some problems with 'gastritis' and was hurting pretty bad the first few days. Dad & I had to talk in church Sunday, so our weekend was a little stressed. We missed those not able to come home!!
