LILLY GETS BAPTIZED!!

 Today was a special day for our family. Our little Lilly got baptized! We are so blessed to have her in our family!

The other little girl that got baptized with Lilly from their Ward was Sawyer Fish. They sang "I Am a Child of God" together.  So cute!

 

Lots of friends and family came over to eat sweet pork tacos!

Barry's family- his twin sisters, Heidi and Holly and a niece Zoe came.

These are Lilly's 'guardian angels'. These ladies are the ones that were so influential in Lilly's adoption. Without them, we probably would not have Lilly in our family! Krista, Laurel and Michelle.

I gave the talk on the Holy Ghost andI always give the kids their own special box with items that tell about all the different ways that the Holy Ghost can help them. 

After the luncheon, we went to watch Dempsey play in a championship game---and they won!!

A Trip to El Paso- Sept 9-10!

 We headed to El Paso for Kaemons' missionary farewell!! We are so very proud of the good boy his is and know that he will be a great missionary in Idaho Falls, ID.  

We got to go to one of Milea's soccer game and watch her play!

Later, much later, after 10pm, the kids all got in the hot tub and pool! Bret's family was there too and they loved playing with cousins.

Sunday morning at church Kaemon gave a really good talk with his assigned subject- unity.

Next to go--Kingston and Milea will be out on missions about the same time!

Afterwards they fed us all a great dinner and then we headed home! What a wonderful weekend with family!

Labor Day Weekend! Sept. 3-4th

 It was an eventful weekend for Lisa and Barry!! They went to our lake house with their friends, the Parkers and had a fun evening on  Roosevelt Lake, enjoying a 'sunset run'. Later that evening as she was getting the kids all ready for bed, Landon wanted to go say 'goodnight' to one of the Parker's kids, so he headed from the main house over to the bunk house. On his way over, Lisa saw him kind of jump, but he kept on walking so she didn't think much of it. Later, the boy comes carrying Landon saying the he got bit by a snake. They checked him over and didn't see anything and no one saw the snake, so they all went to bed. A couple of hours later, Landon is crying and now they see that his leg is all swollen up. Barry decided to take him into Globe (a 25 min. drive) to the hospital there. They give him an anti-venom shots and helicopter him to Phoenix Children's Hospital!!

So, long story short- Landon got bit by a rattlesnake!!

The good news is he's not going to have any 'after effects'!

He had about 5 toxicologists working on him and spent 2 days in the hospital, but he's back to being his normal, little self again!

SEPT. 8TH. Cancer Awareness!

 So I had the opportunity to host in our little Airbnb some really special people. Peter and Robin Halper are trying to raise awareness for childhood cancer by riding a bicycle across America! He was on his 3rd crossing when they came through Eagar. His little grand-niece died of cancer at 3 years old, hence his 3 trips across the USA! His goal was to raise 3 million dollars, but I don't think that happened because they just didn't get the media attention they needed!

Before he bicycled across America, he ran across the first time! I just thought they were amazing people and I felt so privileged to meet them!

MORE AUGUST HAPPENINGS!

 Well, I didn't get around to posting all the rest of the things that happened in August, so now I am!!

Our little Adele Belle Peters turned 6 yrs old on Aug. 7!! 

She had an 'Oreo' party!

The next week after I got back from Maui, the unthinkable happened! The island of Maui, along the coast where the little town of Lahaina is, totally BURNED TO THE GROUND! The exact places we went along Front Street, the little shops we went in, the place where we ate Gelato, and the famous and amazing 150 yr. old Banyon Tree are GONE! Lisa, Kari and I just cried when we heard!

August 11th and 12th we went to Tucson with Sonja and Randy! We stayed in a really cute Airbnb just 5 minutes from the Gaslight!

We saw 'the Revengers'!

Then LaVerl was out gathering the eggs one night and found this!

AUGUST 15th was Blake Shawn Peters #13 birthday!!

Then, Hurricane HILARY hits the west coast- Aug18-20th and Justin Lee got put in the Bishopric in his Ward.

Aug. 21st we drive up to BYU Ed. Week with Randel and Nancy Penrod and meet Sonja and Randy there. We have a great week! We took ONE picture of all of us. We stayed in the Heritage Halls again, which is so great and went to see Nan.

All our classes were great and full!

The BYU campus is so beautiful. It has a creek running through it.

Then on August 29th, Lilly Aliah Keime turned #8. She is getting baptized Sept. 16th!! She had a fun party at "Elevate" with about 10 of her friends!

Then they took the family to a Japanese place that cooks the food in front of you on a fire and grill. They all loved it!

She wanted my egg casserole for breakfast and Barry brought donut holes to her classroom.

And she got a new awesome scooter!

WHAT A FUN #8 BIRTHDAY!

That was just too many things not to blog about that I left out of August!
