Now I'm the HELP!!

 LaVerl and I got another project done. His garden area outside that is fenced so the elk and deer can't get to it, was overrun with tall, terrible weeds. It needed to be burned off, so that's what we did. We thought we could just set it on fire and let it go, but it wouldn't burn until I raked it all to the center and stomped it all to the ground. 

It's a miracle to see LaVerl outside working so hard!!

LaVerl also burned a little of our field. We found out later from our friend, Tony, that there are fire restrictions right now. "No burning" because it's so dry!  Oops! But we're glad we got it done!!

We also burned weeds around his grapevines, dug around them and watered them.

Three more birthdays this month!! These two are only 2 years and one day apart!  The 26th and 27th!!

More HELP arrived!!

 Mark had a couple of days off and wanted to come 'help', so we put him to work!! The greenhouse is a big project with lots to do. Mark helped put together the framework of the little greenhouse LaVerl ordered. It will go inside the big greenhouse we had that is no longer functional because the plastic has blown off. Plus, it's just too big and all the grow boxes were on the ground and the weeds had taken over.

First Mark and LaVerl look over the instructions to put together the greenhouse and watch a few videos.

But first, they start digging around all our fruit trees so that LaVerl can really fertilize them this year with all the good compost he is making. Our trees are getting old and need some help!

Mark also filled up our garage with wood. LaVerl thinks we've gone through over 3 cords of wood this year!! Maybe more!

On Saturday, Feb. 22nd, BYU (rated #5) played basketball in Tucson against U of A (rated #2 in the Big 12 conference). Mark had bought LaVerl tickets and our friend and BYU fan, George Boone, to go, but he wasn't quite up to the 5 hour drive each way. Bret and Kingston met up with Mark, Zallen, Bolden and Daxxon. After the game, which we won by 1 point, they got pictures with Danny Ainge, a pretty famous player for BYU back a few years!!
