June happenings...

June started off with a huge water bill. We had a water leak we couldn't find. When LaVerl did find it, it was about 4 feet down.

At one point he almost fell in and could hardly pull himself out!

June 6th was my Dad's 95th birthday. 

I went down to Mesa and spent the day with them. We tried to surprise him with a party. Mark was at Roosevelt with his family, so he basically planned the evening. Bret and his family, Lisa and her family came too. It was a pretty big crowd for their little house, but I think they enjoyed the ruckus. Dad was super yellow and not feeling very good, but he was trying to be happy we were all there. He had a Dr.'s appointment later that week!

 

I went down and back in the same day because we were leaving the next day for Sedona, AZ. LaVerl was offered a place to stay in a nice airbnb if he would fix their electrical problems. So we were there for 3 days. Its so beautiful there. We only went on one hike as it was already hot. We are lots of good (expensive) food, and we relaxed and had fun.

The place we stayed was right by Bell Rock. What a view!

We stopped in Flagstaff so LaVerl could do some electrical work for Kari. She wanted a Bidet put in her bathroom and it needed an electrical outlet put in. LaVerl is a pretty handy guy!

June 19th was FATHERS DAY!

Again I went to Mesa to spend time with my Dad.

At his Dr. appointment they found out he had a tumor blocking his bile duct and he needed surgery! Luckily that went ok and they put in a stent. He's a tough old guy! He got to go home and we actually got pictures with all of our family together.

I went down to Queen Creek over the weekend to watch Lisa's kids so they could go to Las Vegas for a wedding and reception for one of Barry's nephews. 

We went to the Cortina pool several times.

Landon likes to stay busy!

The mornings and evenings were still cool enough we ate breakfast and dinner outside. 

Oh, and Mother's Day was May 8th!

Lisa and I both got beautiful bouquets of flowers! All of my 7 children remembered me to call me and spoil me.

NEW ROOF!!!

MAY 3-5th, 2022

 Before we left for Dallas, TX we had hired some guys to put a new roof on our house! We loved our cedar shakes, but they were about 36 years old and every time the wind blew, which is a lot, tons of shakes would blow off. I've had several leaks in the house over the last few years, one in my dining room, one in my upstairs bathroom, and the latest was in my living room. It was time for a new roof. We decided to go with a metal roof, not because I loved it, but it was the most practical. The color I picked looks a lot like the color of the shakes, so it really isn't that noticeable, except when the sun is shining on it.

The guys worked really hard getting all the old shakes off! And WHAT A MESS!

First, they took off the shakes from the top section of the house and put the metal on it.

    

They cleaned up all the old shakes and hauled them to the dump and they ran a big magnet all over to get all the screws that dropped. Lots of hard work!

We are so happy to have a new roof!!

Birthdays and Blessings

 We were excited to go to Dallas, TX for 2 very special events!  Eliana's #4 birthday and Isabel's baby blessing!

We left early Friday morning April 29th!  Tami and Adlee were supposed to go and so was Lisa and Lucy, but they had to cancel. It was pretty much my fault for inviting people when I shouldn't have. Holly, Milea and Wembley did get to come. We all stayed in a cute airbnb real close to Reed.

 Little Isabel is now 3 months old.

I have to say that Reed is a really good cook! He cooked us some halibut with a sauce that was so very delicious!

Eliana's birthday cake!! WOW!!

It was a kids party dream come true! A water party with a little splash pad, a huge princess bouncy house with water slide and pool, a popcorn machine and a shaved ice maker, really fun crafts and all the drinks you want, plus great food for the adults!

Sunday May 1st, Isabel Renee Wyson Crosby was blessed by her dad, Reed.

It was a really nice, but quick 2 1/2 days! We loved spending time in Dallas with Reeds family!
