A happy and exciting weekend!

Saturday, August 1st was a very special day.

My day started by leaving for Mesa early, 5:45am, because I was dropping off my old 1975 Atlantis EM Pinball machine to finally get it fixed after being out of commission for over 20 years!! I found a guy clear out in Glendale, AZ that works on these really old machines. I hope he can fix it because he is charging me $500 to work on it!! I had to get my neighbor to take it apart and get it loaded into my SUV.

Later that evening, lots of family and friends gathered at the Gilbert Temple to be there for Kingston as he received his endowment.  He is such a sweet, good boy! He leaves on his mission in Sept.

Lots of people were there, but only a few of us stuck around for pictures and then a late dinner at Cafe Rio.

Then on Sunday morning, Lisa and Barry blessed their little miracle baby, Lawson LaVerl Keime. He is such a good baby, hardly ever cries, however, he screamed the entire time Barry was trying to give him a blessing. Poor guy, he could hardly think.

After church, Lisa had everyone over for a wonderful luncheon of 'tacos' with 3 kinds of meats- sweet pork, shredded chicken and their good neighbor, Sterling Parker smoked a brisket. Then she had every kind of topping you could want! Bret and Mark both made their really yummy dips with chips;, which were also a hit. But the biggest 'hit' of all was the soft serve ice cream! They borrowed their neighbors machine and Lisa made pineapple dole whip, from a mix and also a vanilla custard.

Lots of Barry's family came too, along with all of us Crosby's.

Barry's older brother, Trent

It was a great day visiting with family and friends! Lawson is definitely a little 'Miracle Baby'!

Then on Monday, August 3rd, it was Lisa's #43 birthday!!
Barry got her a new iPhone 17pro and a nugget ice maker! The kids got her candy that she likes.

She went to breakfast with her friends after going to her work out class, and then lunch with Barry. I was able to watch baby so she could enjoy her day.

On Tuesday, I went to the temple and then met up with J'net and Paula for lunch and a movie. We saw the Angel production of "Young Washington". Really a great movie. Fun Day. Wednesday, met up again for temple and lunch, Bryan came too.

Thursday I flew out super early to Idaho Falls to spend time with Tami's family and for Adlee's #9 birthday!!

My Mommy turns 101!!

It's just amazing to me that my Mommy is 101 years old!! Her birthday was July 21st. She is doing pretty good- well, she lost a hearing aid, so now her hearing is even worse, her eyesight isn't great, she is now on oxygen 24/7 and its getting harder for her to get up from her chair and she only walks with her walker. But she can carry on a good conversation with you if she can understand what you are saying and she knows who I am!!!

Sonja and I took her to lunch and she loved her cheese enchiladas! They brought her fried ice cream, put a sombrero on her and sang "Happy Birthday" to her!

Sonja took this picture so she could be in it!  Funny!

Kari's oldest, Rivers also had a birthday on the 19th of July!  He is 16!

And driving!! Kirk and Kari bought him the car the 'used' car he wanted! However, after 2 weeks of having his drivers license, he wrecked his car!  $7000 worth of damage. Its all apart in their garage.
For his birthday he wanted to go to the lake with his friends. Mark was so nice to take all of them. While at our house at Roosevelt, he was going through all the drawers in the bedroom where I had put a bunch of old clothes in case anyone needed anything. He found this old shirt that he liked. I guess it was one of Reeds and Kari couldn't believe that her son was wearing something that was once her little brothers. She said, "Mom, they love that you and Dad hung on to everything...its always a treasure hunt!"

Other happenings.....I do believe that BAD things happen in 3's.

1-Coming home from Mesa last week, a turkey hen ran right in front of me and I couldn't brake fast enough and hit it!!  I was shocked to see the front of my car!!  Stupid turkey! It even bent my hood!!
2-Then I had a dead tree fall over. Luckily it didn't fall on my shed or my shop, but went into another tree!! It didn't look dead because it had some beautiful Virginia creeper growing in it.

Randell had to come and chain saw it all down!

A week later the young men needed a service project, so they came and cleaned it all up for me!

When they were done we had S'mores and they did the zip line!

3- the 'Damn' elk came in the night and trampled all over my new grass, in the front and back yards, that was very wet and made huge holes with their hooves. It took me 2 hours to fill them in!!

Lawson is now over 3 months old and just keeps getting cuter!
