Update on My Life

Ok so I know everyone is wondering what I have been up to and it is keeping them up at night so I will post what has been happening lately in my life. I stay pretty busy with school and my sweet job on the grounds crew (yes, again), and trying to have a little bit of a social life. So here are the highlights of my first month at college.

Ryne and I eating a feast. Steak, Corn on the cob, steamed vegetables and potatoes. Ya, Ryne and I are pretty much the best cooks ever.
BBQ with the boys. The night of Womens Conference we decided to to a BBQ at Raintree.
At Tami's Award banquet thing for living scriptures. The food was great, I ate like 4 Chicken Cordon Bleus... but it was dang good.
After the Awards banquet we met up with Kim and Hilary, Yes that is Kim with the mask (which is really a fruit rollup haha)
On our way to Conference, Ryne and I are pretty stoked!

The temple after Priesthood session. Ryne and I got into the Saturday afternoon session and Priesthood Session. It was sooo good. I love conference. There are so many things to learn and apply in our lives. There is always something just for you.

This past Friday I went to the Homecoming dance with Ari Alius. It was fun, we went and ate at Macoroni Grill and then went to the "enchanted" dance. Kirk hooked me up with the black shirt, Ryne hooked me up with the black pants and black shoes, and I got this sweet bright pink tie to match her dress. Next to us are Paul and Jen. It was pretty fun

So that is a little taste of the life of Mr. Reed up at BYU. Fun stuff.

Kari's bridal shower invitation

When at first I thought they were never gonna turn out at all, these turned out so cute! Thanks to all my helpers. So the story goes----Kari asked me to be her maid of honor and I of course accepted. I am so excited for my little sis!! So I am trying to plan her bridal shower in Utah. I didn't realize how much school owns my life! I have been soo busy with mid-terms, studying and writing papers that I just couldn't do it all. I own it to my helpers Becki and Barry!! you are lifesavers. My oh so adorable Boy Friend was so kind to pick up the invitations stuff all the envelopes, put the label on, and, you'll love this, at work behind his desk he placed a little stick on rhine stone on each one!! TOO CUTE!! So her shower is gonna be Hollywood glam theme! Mom and I finished all the shopping for the decor and its gonna be well--- G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S!! I'm excited to spoil KARI!!

PS READ THE POEM cuz mom and I worked hard on it! wink, wink. Mom and I would get the giggles trying to come up with rhyming words and then mom would totally shoot some down. ouch. It was funny!

Conference Weekend

Barry and I drove up home to enjoy a weekend in the mountains. Mom's food was yummy and conference was so uplifting!! Inbetween sessions we took a drive up by Big Lake and found snow and beautiful colors. I've been pretty stressed out with school mid-terms (AHHH) and it was a nice breather!!

Hola mi familia!

Hey here are some pictures finally.. they are kinda random tidbits of my life. I saved a turtle that was in the middle of the road and sent it back into the wilderness. (my hair is kinda funnny) haha. O well.   My roommates are so awesome. I got very lucky and could not ask for better people to live with. I'm loving college. Anyway.. gotta go!

Well  its time to make a post! life sure gets busy when college starts! Actually I don't know if life ever does slow down and I'm glad because it's always fun and interesting..  I think I am learning how to be better about prioritizing..  I forget who said it but there is a quote that says as we focus on the things that are truly important the other things in life will either fall into place or drop out of our lives completely . I have seen that prove to be true in my life. Hmm my pictures don't seem to be working right now. I will put some up soon showing what I have been up to! I love you all!

A Lake Powell trip

Barry invited me to go to Lake Powell over Labor Day. His boat was the only one going and if I didn't go he didn't go soooo I went. This is my roommate Lori Smith from SnowFlake
James cooked up some of the tastiest MEALS. yes that is a ginormous steak. The night b/f he grilled up fajitas. TASTEY goodness. This is Reina and Jon Passey Barrys best friend.

Here is captin James Gardner. He and his brothers/cousins are the crew that invited Barry.... yes yes the Garnders that grew up helping G-pa at Milligan every summer. We had a lot to talk about. They know more about G-pa than I do. It was a lot of fun to see how much they respected and looked up to Grandpa Melvin. One of the guys, Dan, could remember that G-pa used to rope him around his neck when he was a little boy, and James remembered that when I was a little girl I would snuggle up on his lap and fall asleep. hee hee!
We played a lot of sand volleyball. (after the court was evened out to perfection) I never knew I liked v-ball so much. I'm not bad for NEVER playing.... I'm getting the serving thing down (KINA)
There was a random group of people that went including Jake Clark. It was a great mix of people we all had a lot of fun!!
Nothing beats the beauty of Lake Powell. This was on our way back in and the water was SOO chopy it was like we were in the ocean!! holy moly it was a bumpy ride. Hold on to your hats and don't stand up!
OH yes I learned how to play poker... yep. Lets just say I should never gamble.... I lost it all

MY week off... what i've been up to....

Madden '09 XBOX 360 Tournament!!!

Well on my little trip to the valley this past weekend I was walking in WalMart just buying a few simple things that I needed when a Walmart Lady came up to me and asked me to be in a Nintendo Madden '09 XBOX 360 (A new nintendo game for those that don't know) tournament. They needed one more person and long story short I ended up participating. I went in thinking that it owuld be fun to play a game or two on the new XBOX system and then I would probably lose and it would be ok. Well, 3 1/2 hours later I found myself in the championship game, the winner getting a $50 WalMart gift certificate. Well, I went with my 49ers (not the greatest team right now) and ended up getting beat by some punk little kids that needs to get out more... anyways, it was great fun and just a total waste of my time (Although I had NOTHING to do that day) but now you can all call me the Madden '09 Walmart XBOX 360 runner up! I got a sweet t-shirt so it was all good...

being able to watch him, he's so entertaining!!

Kingston learns new tricks

So as I was getting ready for the day, I had Kingston in the bathroom with me and he was playing around with the faucet and discovered that he could turn the water on. He didn't quite get how to turn it off, but he got the 'on' part really good. Such a smart child!!

Then my amazing grandson just crawled right up the stairs!

Because I started working here it has influenced my life in many ways. I have made some of my best friends, decided on a career for myself and have had way to much fun working. THANKS A LOT PROVINCES I LOVE YA! This web site was "in progress" when I was FULL TIME and didn't get completed until after I started Dental Hygiene school so SADLY I am not on it, wipe a tear....

So family, you might've heard some rumors about me getting married... well, I've finally decided to post some pictures of the night it all started!

Kirk proposed Friday Aug. 1 right after we got off work up at our special little park up in the mountains. I was totally caught off guard so instead of saying yes right away, I answered with "Kirk, are you being serious?" Apparently he was! Here is my

gorgeous ring, which he picked out all by himself. It is even

 more gorgeous in real life. The big day is November 14th in the Los Angeles temple... a dream come true! 

Alaska trip

Well, this is my first post in about 2 years but I thought I would tell you guys a little about our awesome Alaska trip. So Dustin had 3 open spots and so I had the luck along with dad and Mark to take this Amazing trip... SO we headed to Alaska, flew in on Tuesday, fished until Saturday, and just had a jolly ol time. We caught some big Halibut (the biggest about 220+) and then caught some salmon too. We caught a couple other strange orange fish called red snappers and so that was pretty cool. The trip overall was amazing. We had great food every day and great company. I just want to say one more thing... Lets do it again Dad!!!

For all those that didnt go, you missed out but we have about 250 lbs of halibut so you can enjoy our catch ;)
