THANKSGIVING 2024

 This year for Thanksgiving we went to Lisa's and Barry's house in Queen Creek. All the kids and their families came except Mark's family, who had already planned to go on a cruise. We enjoyed lots of visiting, eating, playing, movie going, etc. Tami and Ryne drove 16 hours from Idaho Falls. Reed and Natali flew in from Dallas and then some of them ended up sick for 24 hours and missed Thanksgiving dinner!! Kari and Kirk drove from Flagstaff. Chad and Luann drove from Snowflake. Bret's family missed dinner with us, but were there for all the other fun.

Lisa out did herself with a beautiful and delicious charcuterie board!

LaVerl's sister J'net and Bryan joined us, along with her son, Trent and his son, Talon.

Lisa had a fun 'catch the turkey' game. The kids had to grab a sticker off the 'turkey' (Blake) and the stickers had prizes and a winner!

Luann did such a cute crafts for the kids and the adults joined in too.

Adlee advertised that she was having a 'salon day' upstairs, if anyone wanted to come and be pampered. Lilly helped her.

Friday was Leo's #10 birthday!

Later we all went to the movies- Moana II for the kids and Wicked for some of the adults!

Did I mention that my grand 'dogs' were there too? Tami brought Puka, Reed brought Royal, Kari brought Lola and Bret had Honey and Dolly. 

Everyone sure had a great time spending time together! We are so very blessed!!!

Mark comes!

 It seems the kids want to come spend time with their Dad, so Mark came on Friday and left Sunday. When they do come, we get some work out of them. LaVerl has been wanting some scrap boards he has, cut up for firewood, so Mark and I did that. We used the little white truck and hauled 2 loads up and then used a table saw to cut them into lengths. After we got that done, Mark took off the old, falling apart, rack on the little white truck.

(note- I now wear safety glasses!)

Mark installed the railing for our stairs that Tami ordered.

He cut some dead branches off several of our trees.

It was so funny watching him try to fit through the little doors in his old attic bedroom where he put some of the stuff he saved as a youngster. I didn't think he'd make it back out. He took home all is baseball cards and Beckett magazines he's saved.

He gave his Dad a wonderful priesthood blessing before he left. It was so good of him to come and spend his very valuable time with us!

Monday morning we woke up to Winter Wonderland!

LaVerl's 'sunshine water' became 'snow water'!
